It sounds like President Trump is supporting Manchin/Toomey universal background check bill. Does anyone else get that impression?

And Trump knows this which is why he is saying what he is saying. Just like telling Dems send him a bill for DACA and he’ll sign it...of course if it met his demands to. He knew they would never do it so there’s no harm in saying what he said.
He just said he supports taking guns without due process and is going to whip the GOP into putting it into the bill and support it if it is.
He’s activelynsayingbhell go against the NRA.
If enough GOPe vote for it along with the Dems they’ll ramrod it through.

Like I said, I don’t go by the hyperventilating of people here, I just wait for him to place a massive demand on the table that the Dems won’t go for, watch them walk away, and Trump takes the issue from them.

The difference was that we knew the Dems wouldn’t deal with DACA because that’s their voter base.

If you are charged and convicted of domestic violence in AZ, you have to give up your guns so this is not new to me.
