A state trooper has been placed on administrative leave and is now the subject of an internal investigation, the agency confirmed yesterday.
Trooper Leigha Genduso was placed on paid administrative leave Monday, according to state police spokesman David Procopio. Genduso earned $151,000 last year, records show. She will face a departmental duty status hearing in the next few days, he added. State police have also launched an Internal Affairs investigation and its conclusions will determine what further action, if any, will be taken against Genduso, Procopio said.
He would not say why she was placed on leave, adding that state police dont comment on the specific reasons behind personnel action.

Essentially her boyfriend was a Lt. Colonel in the Mass State Police and pulled strings to have the board overlook the fact that she admitted to selling drugs, perjury, money laundering and using drugs under oath while testifying against her boyfriend with the granting of immunity.
Their will be a lot of heads rolling and maybe even jail-time for the Mass State Police. It will be an interesting next few days and weeks.

From just the headline, I thought for a minute an actual police dog was in trouble, possibly for humping someone’s leg or accepting a hot dog as a bribe.
The dogs are generally more honest than the people in charge of them.
"I did not hump that leg."
Credit to the Turtleboy site for exposing this. That site can be a very vulgar place, but this is real journalism. The Herald, the Globe, WBZ and the rest would NEVER have published this without prompting.
In general; dogs tend to be better people than people too. ;)
Oh, it’s a person. I thought it was a four legged K-9 trooper.
You’re not kidding.
$151,000 a year to be a state trroper?! Not to mention health insurance, pensions, and the like?
Just wondering out loud how long can that continue.
That is what she earned in total with details and overtime which is below average for a Mass State Trooper.
Howie Carr would declare her not guilty.
Laz would hit it.
Her, the dog, whatever, whoever.
Not sure if this still holds true, but at least up until a few years ago, only a commissioned law enforcement officer could direct traffic in Massachusetts. Consequently, if a construction company, road crew, etc. needed a flag man to turn a stop/slow sign, their only option was to hire an off-duty officer, usually at overtime rates to do a job a lot of teenagers on summer vacation do in other states.
K-9 trooper in doghouse?

My observations during my time in MA (refuse to say ‘mass’) the troopers on construction details just sat in their vehjcles.
Another fact her ex-boyfriend drug dealer she ratted on started a website called whosarat.com. According to her testimony she was the one who came up with name. He was interviewed by Geraldo a can be seen in this video.
