Watergate reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein say President Trump could be on the path to his own "Saturday Night Massacre," citing reports that he already wants to fire the special counsel probing his administration and campaign.
"We’re here again. A powerful and determined president is squaring off against an independent investigator operating inside the Justice Department," Woodward and Bernstein wrote in The Washington Post, saying the situations have become "eerily similar.

Bob and Carl, celebrity journalists for the past 40 years couldn’t break a real story if James Comey called them and confessed, they are washed up hacks.

You can lead old political whores to the fount of knowledge but you can't make them drink.
Woodward and Bernstein are trying to write the same story that brought them fame and fortune 45 years ago.
The only change they want in their narrative is the substitution of President Trump and his administration for Richard Nizon and his administration.
But facts keep getting in their way as they keep tripping over and ignoring the biggest political story in the last 230 years.
But the truth doesn't fit their agenda and world view.
Is Mueller is using the illegal wiretap information? If so, that is evidence that is in violation of the exclusionary rule and cannot be used in a criminal trial.
Maybe someone from the FBI can pass them some more information like Felt did the last time to bring down a sitting president.
That's where we're headed. This is not a game. The people on the other side are fighting for their lives, as is Donald Trump.
It's going to take a lot of preparation for the American people to digest and accept the treason that has occurred and the necessity for the ultimate punishment.
That's why this is taking so long.
Make no mistake, the only hope Trump has of remaining alive is to treat these globalist monsters with extreme prejudice.

The ONLY way we get to that point is through a civil war. The very act of having a military court try civilians would start one.
And I have yet to understand why so many here think that a large government organization is on “our” side.
They are not "civilians."
They are enemy combatants.
An almost perfect summary except I'd replace the word "railroad" with "topple." W & B & the FBI's Mark Felt succeeded with Nixon, but I don't think you can play that tune twice with a similar result.
