Trayvon sparked a movement that stands up to fascism and white supremacy. We need to hold him in our memories.
February 5th marks five years and 339 days since Trayvon Martin’s memorial service; it would also be his 23rd birthday.
The day is necessarily somber. Nearly six years ago, Trayvon’s death at the hands of white supremacist vigilante violence indicated the beginning of an escalating attack on Black lives and demanded that this nation confront its overtly racist past and present. The urgency of #Justice4TrayvonMartin turned into a global urgency to fight for Black lives — one which persists today.
What we acknowledged as a nation during the one-and-a-half year trial of George Zimmerman is that the white majority’s public imagination of Black people was based on their fear of us, not the reality of who we are. Trayvon Martin was a teenage boy literally walking in his own neighborhood doing what most teenagers do: Wearing a hoodie, buying snacks and talking on his cell phone. His family and Trayvon would not know that his life would end that night because a white vigilante would be empowered by his own racist beliefs and murder a 17-year-old boy in cold blood.
We organize marches, disrupt major highways, set up tent cities at police headquarters and charge the stages of elected officials in honor of Trayvon and others we have lost unnecessarily and too soon. We build electoral justice tables and develop movements that can develop new political leaders. We are working to do everything in our power to save America and defend our humanity.
This is what Trayvon represents, and so much more. We pray and we organize, so that his life and the lives of other Black people have not been taken in vain.

Trayvon Martin was nothing more than a THUG! He SHOULD be remember for his criminal ways so that other young blacks “see the light” before they too, wind up dead on some sidewalk. End of story.

Because it sounds better than admitting Zimmerman was a volunteer for the neighborhood watch program in the area and called the cops twice before he was attacked and had to defend himself when Martin came back at him a second time after he had been knocked down and beat on the sidewalk with his head. And Mexican is considered in the US to be within the white race for counting. It just sounds better.
Proclaiming Zimmerman part of a hired trained group tries to place him in a police atmosphere. It’s all by association when everyone forgets what really happened.

Egypt went through a similar situation when civilization failed. In their latter years attacking sand thugs became rulers,,,, and then there was a complete collapse of their civilization.
We were attacked by a thug with no understanding of Western Christian culture, yet he could quote the koran...and he knew marxism. He was anti colonialism as long as the day. Yep we were under attack.

But I’m sure that if Zimmerman had looked up while having his head beaten on the sidewalk and seen a white face he wouldn’t have pulled the trigger. (I have used this rebuttal several times. Most of the Trevonista are so brainwashed they don’t even get the logic)

There are millions of young, decent hard-working black men in this country....why in the HELL pick this POS for a hero?!?
She has (and still does) openly advocated the killing of whites, strongly supports the actions of Angela Davis and Joane Chesimard (AKA Asshat Shaker...or something like that), strongly identifies with the actions of the early Black Panthers and even the SLA and advocates for imprisonment of any white person that has the temerity to disagree with her foul rhetoric.
She is full of do-do, knows she is full of do-do and even has told interviewers that she can fill other blacks with her do-do because they are so easy to fill with do-do.
She bemoans the fact that her thug father (which I doubt she really knew who the hell he was) went to prison for drugs...unfairly, of course...and that the only way she could ever recover from such a traumatic experience is through reparations, ostensibly to her private numbered account...'cause she ain't sharin', baby.

On her Facebook page, she readily identifies as a "public figure", yet threatens legal action against anyone that posts criticism, claiming she is slandered, yet readily engages in libel on a regular basis...particularly if one is white or she suspects so.
She is an Oprah sycophant and she thinks obama walks on water, although she has in the past disparaged his "white" side.

You forgot that Tray had already been smokin’ weed-filled blunts. O’s favorite pastime. And was sneaking around between neighbors’ homes, for which Z was calling Tray’s activity in to the PD dispatcher.
Calling an hispanic man with a black grandmother a “white supremacist” is where I stopped reading.
This woman needs to get a grip on reality. She probably thinks Michael Brown didn’t bum rush a cop and justifiably get dead for his efforts, too.
