House Intelligence memo released: What it says
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/2/18 | Byron York

Posted on 02/02/2018 8:52:17 AM PST by markomalley

The House Intelligence Committee has released its controversial memo outlining alleged abuses of secret surveillance by the FBI and Justice Department in the Trump-Russia investigation. Here are some key points:

* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the intial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.

* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.

* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.

* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele's bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president.

The FBI and Justice Department mounted a months-long effort to keep the information outlined in the memo out of the House Intelligence Committee's hands. Only the threat of contempt charges and other forms of pressure forced the FBI and Justice to give up the material.

Once Intelligence Committee leaders and staff compiled some of that information into the memo, the FBI and Justice Department, supported by Capitol Hill Democrats, mounted a ferocious campaign of opposition, saying release of the memo would endanger national security and the rule of law.

But Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes never wavered in his determination to make the information available to the public. President Trump agreed, and, as required by House rules, gave his approval for release.

Finally, the memo released today does not represent the sum total of what House investigators have learned in their review of the FBI and Justice Department Trump-Russia investigation. That means the fight over the memo could be replayed in the future when the Intelligence Committee decides to release more information.

The Clintons had been in power for so long, along wiht other evil progressives, they thought they could get away with ANYTHING. So, they got sloppy...like all CRIMINALS do.

Hillary knew they’d all hang if they lost, because she knew that once what had been a clean criminal operation had become unmanageable and sloppy.

This thing is huge, the biggest political scandal in US History is here and we are now in the ....WINNING side of it!!!!!!!

None. And it is more clear now why there was such a huge effort to prevent this memo’s release. It is only the tip of a very dark iceberg.

Are there any FReepers here familiar with the timeline regarding the infamous TARMAC meeting between Lynch and Bill?

Did Bill pass the bogus Dossier onto Loretta on behalf of Hillary, or was it already in the public domain?

I'm betting Loretta Lynch was knee deep in this fraud along with the FBI!

Why was it not sourced in the request? And, if so, then, how was the application approved?

Only thing I can think of would be if Justice claimed the dossier was the result of documented intelligence-gathering by agents on the ground, and in the interest of maintaining hot pursuit or some such claim, the FISA court may have the latitude to let the DOJ fill in the blanks later after a first, temporary application. Just from what I've read about FISA under GWB.

That adds up to a lot of lies by whoever cooked up the FISA app, and it sure sounds like a lot of jail time!

“So the FBI and DOJ Rats knew all along that the Witch funded the pack of lies.”

They also cost the taxpayers millions of dollars for the Russia investigation based on a pack of lies.

Sessions played right into their hands thinking he was doing the righteous thing

I think Sessions was blackmailed by the deep state on day one, and was forced to recuse himself from any and everything related to the attempted coup against Trump.

He also has not resigned for the same reason. The deep state needed the office of AG to remain nullified while they went about their nefarious business.

Jeff Sessions has been aware of the material facts of the coup all along, but did nothing to stop it. He's as guilty as the traitors, in my opinion.

Or did someone order them to do it...someone from the political realm...where all this material used originally came from?

Who, oh, who could it be ???

Gigantic RUBBER STAMP approval from the “collegial” relationship developed over decades since the creation of thet FISA court system of rotating judges/terms, the judges being political appointees approved by political people. The court itself has morphed in this instance and could be moulded to some other interest— into a “Star Chamber” BECAUSE of the system’s ability to allow “upstream” non-targeted/warranted US citizens.

The last month decision of obamaumao to spread this “access” to the famous 17 agencies who request the info— was CRIMINAL in finalizing the removal of 4th Amendment rights of the unknowing surveilled.

This, along with the plan to eliminate 2nd Amendment rights, and establish a federalized national police (See: Ferguson/BLM riots- the local police willingly surrendered to fedgov fbi and other “police”- a dry run of what obamaumao wanted to put in place, which hillary would .have carried through)

This is right off the communist check list- it is Bolshevik. We must pursue the people in the obamaumao and clinton cabal who actuated this on the FISA courts from times BEFORE this trump surveillance. Those mentioned in the FISC decision released in April 2017 by DNI Dan Coats (names and cases redacted in that pdf). Am certain that obama and clinton (both of them all the way back and inclusive of Bush, jr post 9-11 and reformation of DHS and shifting our national security levers of power— very clever of them). IMHO- it would lead to many many indictments.

Nothing shocking, but perhaps it is proof now.

It is true they nullified him. Would not be too quick to condemn as we do not know what Rosenstein used to actuate all this. But Rosenstein should not survive this. And Sessions should be told by trump minions— to unrecuse, and do so without any proof of having done so.

Sessions is a good man, but probably well beyond his depth in the anti-criminal world globalist cabal fight (as in against NWO and also the soros order and/or russian oligarchy).

Yup, they were all guilty. And Russia-gate was a complete farce. Hopefully enough people will hear about this and the MSM won’t be able to hide it.

Absolutely, this is huge. Trump was right all along. I hope the Democrats lose big in the midterms as a result.

Sessions needs to unrecuse and begin appointing Special Prosecutors to commence from this release of information.NOW.

Grand Juries may be seated already, DiGenova is right. Indictments presented to these from the information classified documents supporting the memo. The Special Prosecutors need to start now. Hopefully this is going on.

It depends how the press handles this thing, many voters use that as their sole source of information.

I am betting it is going on and that Sessions has had this all lined up for a long time, while lots of people, including FReepers who should known better, have been disparaging Sessions.
