Commenting on the proposal doesn’t make it law nor does it mean it reached committee or has it been agreed upon.

“Now, it is apparent that my kids and grandkids will live out their years in a Third World Banana Republic.”

You can’t actually believe that. We were headed that way under Obama but President Trump has been dismantling that since before he was elected.

I’m more interested in who LEAKED the infrastructure plan versus what’s in it because once again that means someone untrustworthy is nearby...

The Wall is separate from the infrastructure.

Has it happened yet? No. Has President Trump done anything so far that has been to your detriment? No. So, sit back and wait and see.

[Infrastructure Incentives Initiative: 50%
Half of the funding will be used towards the Infrastructure Incentives Initiative which “encourages state, local and private investment in core infrastructure by providing incentives in the form of grants.” According to the draft, they h could cover up to 20% of the project’s cost.]

My guess, that covers things like Flint.

“Trump has surrendered on the illegal alien issue”

No he hasn’t. He said many times during the campaign “we need to have heart” in dealing with long term illegal immigrants. Second, yesterday he said they might be accepted over a 10-12 year process if they are productive and like the country. Third, if when the econ0pmy takes off we will need workers for the jobs.

People need to think past their biased single issues.

“1.8 million more socialists”

THAT is fake news. You have no way of knowing their political inclinations, especially if they get good jobs created by Trump’s tax cuts.

It will put bricks & mortar blue collar folks to work.

The Demoncrats are going to be left with university loons and walk-in illegal aliens.

It is moot. Dems turned it down.

However old your grandbabies may be, any path takes 10-12 years and has many hoops to negotiate. No extended family chain migration. No lottery. A wall. NO MASS LEGALIZATION.

Repeat: Dems turned it down flat. Linda freaked. Cruz says no...no one wants it. It won’t happen. Ball in donks’ court.

Oh, and the worst sanctuary cities given notice the law will be utilized against them. Meanwhile, deportations continue. This means fewer illegal voters. Fewer blue districts.

Further, IL looks set to LOSE a Congressional seat. A few other districts may be gone, as well.

If you prefer, it is a very limited and constrained *amnesty*. Add that Trump has INCREASED Hispanic and black support and that whites are finally having more children than the minorities.

Anecdote: personal assaults in the blue hellholes are not only up, SJWs are eating any of their own who ID any illegal ethnic as a perp. This is redpilling victims who were previously SJW-compliant.

Donks are toast. He set them up the bomb. Midterm ads write themselves.

Chill.

“Trump has surrendered on the illegal alien issue. “

Odd that there’s no news reports of this surrender. When did President Trump wave the white flag exactly? Did you hear him or his representative say so?

I ask because I’ve read reports like this since before he was sworn into office & they’ve always proven bogus or just never materialized as predicted.

If this is to cost the federal government $1trillion over X years, just divide the $1trllion by X, reduce federal taxes by the resulting amount (or refuse to raise them by that amount to fund the $1trillion) and leave the money in the states, which can well manage infrastructure projects on their own.

...Trump has surrendered on the illegal alien issue. I had hoped that SOMEONE would stand for American sovereignty. Now, it is apparent that my kids and grandkids will live out their years in a Third World Banana Republic.

Ah yes! More hysterical hand-wringing from knee-jerk second-guessers—who rarely see an anti-Trump Fake News piece that they don't accept as the gospel truth.

For twelve months straight, these same Nervous Nellies have made apocalyptic predictions on every single issue—and every time their dire projections are dispelled.

"Trump has surrendered on the illegal alien issue. I had hoped that SOMEONE would stand for American sovereignty" - alstewartfan
You actually just said that!

HamiltonJay is right—you do need to put the crack pipe settle down.

In the last two years, President Trump has earned our loyalty and trust—and the benefit of the doubt—a dozen times over. That's not based on optimism or wishful thinking, but objective reality. It's time to rationally integrate the evidence from a solid year of Presidential accomplishment and good faith into your thought processes.

The only illegal immigrants who will ever get amnesty—or a pathway to citizenship—will be those who deserve such an opportunity—by virtue of special circumstances, or else the fact that they are already productive members of American society. Any notion that there will be some overwhelming number of amnesty recipients is patently ludicrous.

The President, Deplorables, and the People in general have already won the immigration debate. The Democrats and Cheap Labor Express advocates have been crushed. There is an 80% consensus for things like:

In exchange for all of that (for which there is an overwhelming national consensus) a modest compromise will be made regarding "Dreamers"—those protected under DACA policy. And that is also supported by a solid national consensus.

That's basically it—more incredible winning from President Trump! The purists don't possess the clout to make the perfect the enemy of the good in this instance. Indeed, anyone who doesn't see the amazing victory that the President is engineering—and over an extremely delicate, thorny issue— is simply not looking at things in a realistic fashion...
