Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump is proposing giving 1.8 million young undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship in exchange for $25 billion for his long-promised wall and a host of other strict immigration cuts, according to a framework proposed Thursday. The outlines of the deal were described by a White House official for staff on Capitol Hill that CNN was given access to on Thursday afternoon. In what the White House official called a "dramatic concession," Trump would accept a path to citizenship for not just those originally eligible for DACA but for a broader population, adding up to 1.8 million people, the official said.

Not to worry. President Trump continues to negotiate...and he’s pretty good at negotiating. Have some faith in this President.
The Democrats will reject it. Count on it. Next offer should be the same except permanent residency and no path to citizenship. If they reject that as well, then a five year renewable visa with no path to citizenship. Eventually, they will get the idea that they should’ve taken the first deal.
That was the lesson of Reagan 1986 Amnesty, Dems understand this, that is why the most important thing is $$ upfront and border security first, than we can have a conversation about the other stuff.
I don’t want a negotiation I want for one time in our lives adherence to law and a backbone from all around. We have the house, Senate and presidency. Obama NEVER negotiated NEVER and got almost EVERYTHING he wanted. It’s time for Republicans to grow a spine vote majority to get a damn wall and deport those not belonging here
Surely, Trump offer has strings attached, like jobs, and I read somewhere it would take 10-12 yrs on path to citizenship.
We don’t really have the house and senate, if we did Trump would be further along. Way too many RINO’s and Anti-Trumpers there who don’t care about this country, only their power and perks.

The media is running a two pronged attack here. The headline writers are picking up on the “path for citizenship” hoping that Conservatives won’t read any further.
The Slimes rehashed this as a cynical attempt that really doesn’t mean anything:

People need to learn that headline writers are the footsoldiers of the propagandists. They use the headlines because most people are too stupid to read more than a sentence.
Calmer heads would actually investigate the details rather than reacting and eating what the media is serving without question.
1.8 million new DemocRat voters. Enough to swing many districts from red to blue.
I knew this was coming. The dems and pubs will make sure the illegals get citizenship and they may eventually give lip service to a partially funded wall. There are just not many politicians that care about a wall except Trump.

Before freaking completely, the article goes on to note conditions that will result in the Democrats never accepting this:
“In return, the White House would like to see a $25 billion investment in a trust for border infrastructure and technology, as well as more funds for personnel, and an end to family migration beyond spouses and minor children. The diversity visa lottery would also be abolished, with those visas going to work through a backlog of people already waiting for family visas and high-skilled immigration green cards.
“... the White House is also defining as border security closing “legal loopholes” that will allow it to deport more immigrants — which would likely include changes in immigration enforcement authority that would be virtually impossible for Democrats to swallow.”

You government shutdown pearl clutchers pine for amnesty Reagan, yet he got nothing. Let Trump deal. He is better than any of us at this. Btw, Reagan was my FIX and I love the man, but Trump is better.
Right. This has to include the incentives gone:

~Biometric Visa Entry
~End Sanctuary cities
~End birthright citizenship
(Right now, people are flying in from Russia and China just to give birth to a U.S. citizen.)
