California Democrats Want Businesses To Give Half Their Federal Tax-Cut Savings To State
National Economics Editorial ^ | Jan 20, 2018 | Editorial Staff

Despite what Hollywood celebrities and Democrat bigwigs claim, California’s in bad economic shape.

Not only does California have the highest poverty rate in America—over 1 in 5 Californians live below the poverty line—but it’s home to nearly one quarter of America’s homeless people. There are so many poor people in California that it’s income inequality ratio is now larger than Mexico’s.

How could so much poverty exist in a place with nearly unlimited natural wealth, and a rich cultural and business inheritance? California is the home of Hollywood, Apple, and Google after all.

Two reasons: first, immigration—especially illegal immigration—has sucked state coffers dry, and this has translated into higher taxes for American citizens. Consider that illegal immigrants cost California’s economy over $30 billion every year. This has real impacts on citizens: it’s why, for instance, that California’s schools are some of the most crowded, and worst in America.

Second, California’s government is incompetent—the state legislature is full of rigid ideologues, and “Governor Moonbeam” is unable to grasp the magnitude of the problems facing his state. It’s to this second reason we’d like to direct your attention.

I remember when the Franchise Tax Board (Cal’s Tax Collection Agency) tried to collect income taxes from out-of-state retirees who had once worked in California. Lovely.

If you want to see what extended one-party rule does, you have to look no further than California. And my friends, without Donald J. Trump standing in the way as our president, the entire United States would be well on it’s way to becoming a large-scale California today. Every morning, as I see the criminal cabal that has gotten very close to taking over our country, getting ever closer to being frog-marched to jail, I give thanks for President Trump, and I shudder to think where we would be today had Hillary and her band of Communists succeeded in gaining the Presidency.

people with high end properties are not hurt unless and until they buy another home. IIRC those currently in houses can claim the full deduction for property tax.

It will be interesting to see if the RATs here actually try to put something together to try and force us to give them that money. Frankly, I for one hope they do try something along the lines that have been floated, because those who provide the money for this state may see that as the final straw.
Secondly, I can’t wait for the day when ICE takes our Beaner AG into custody.

Once individuals start selling their homes, prior to leaving California, what happens to the value of the homes owned by those who stay.

Didn’t Pelosi say the tax savings amounted to peanuts or chump change?

All I hear from people in CA is how they loathe the political human waste in downtown Sacramento — a Dictatorship of Marxists!! The only support they have is like-minded “insane” Liberals, illegals, and those who are doped out of their minds.

There will be a larger mass exodus out of CA with the proposed theft from companies.

California used to be a conservative state

Remember that Ronald Reagan was the governor of California.

What turned California communist?Immigrants that's what. Foreign immigrants from the 3rd world like Mexican immigrants and from many other 3rd world countries have poured into the USA for decades by the millions invited in by democrats.

This is what immigrants and democrats who imported these foreigners are doing to every state in the USA including Texas. They did this with their 1965 immigration act.

Demographics aren't magically changing. It's that there are 7 billion people in the world ,most of them in the 3rd world and democrats changed immigration laws in 1965 to take in 1 to 2 million immigrants from these 3rd world countries every year into the USA legally. This is how the democrats are destroying the USA.

The only way to save America is to deport all illegals, no more immigration of any kind, and no amnesties to not even a single one of these foreign communists

I can guarantee you that the legalization of marijuana will have a net negative economic impact on the state. The social costs will end up costing multiple times the amount the state realizes in taxes.

According to the article, there is no "give" to it. The Democrats intend to "take" it.

At what point will the idiot libs who keep this place out of BK get so mad they’ll leave?

And go where? That is the question.

Oregon has been wrecked and they're working on WA. I pray Trump is changing the culture/reality so the old lib policies are no longer in fashion.

We are thinking of moving to the Reno Area in a few years, no state income tax, lower sales, prop tax, and gas tax. Down side , no ocean, but we can get past that.

As far as business’s go as an example, the Toyota US headquarters located in my area relocated out of state a few years ago, I notice the buildings are still vacate, what a surprise!

Gov, Moonbeams crazy train to nowhere is another example that is the insanity of California

Oh ya and the elephant in the room, the huge unfunded mandate, California gov worker pensions.

"California Democrats Want..."

If they want it, they will get it.

It is a one-party state.
