President Donald J. Trump is set to deliver the State of the Union on January 30. To no one’s surprise, a few Democrats will be boycotting the event. Well, five total—all the typical loudmouths of the Democratic Party.
1. Frederica Wilson (D-FL)
2. Maxine Waters (D-CA)
3. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.)
4. John Lewis (D-GA)
5. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR)
Lewis thinks Trump is a racist after the “s**thole countries remark”:
Lewis, 77, said he cannot go forward with attending the address to Congress, after what President Donald Trump "has said about so many Americans... I wouldn't be honest with myself."
He also told NBC News he believes Trump has racism "in his DNA."
Waters thinks he’s a liar, among other things:
Why would I take my time to go and sit and listen to a liar?" Waters said in an appearance on MSNBC Friday evening. "Someone who lies in the face of facts, someone who can change their tune day in and day out. What does he have to say that I would be interested in?"
And Wilson pretty reiterated what Waters said:
Wilson told The Tampa Bay Times Sunday in a statement she doesn’t plan to attend Trump’s speech to Congress on Jan. 30.
"For the first time since I began serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, I will not be attending the president's State of the Union address," Wilson said. "I have no doubt that instead of delivering a message of inclusivity and an agenda that benefits all Americans, President Trump's address will be full of innuendo, empty promises, and lies.”
Jayapal cited racism:
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) on Monday announced she plans to boycott President Trump's State of the Union address to Congress at the end of the month, joining a handful of other Democratic lawmakers who are skipping the annual event.
"I'm here on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to say I will not be going to the State of the Union," Jayapal said in a video posted on social media.
"I think it is absolutely unacceptable to see the racism and the hatred coming out the White House in a way in which this president is fueling the flames of divisiveness across our country," she added.
Wilson was also the congresswoman who said the ambush in Niger that left four American soldiers dead would become Trump’s Benghazi. We’ve deployed a small contingent of troops for anti-terror operations. Also, that’s a patently false remark. It hasn’t become a scandal, though the Left sure tried on that front. It entered the realm of the insane, the perfect encapsulation of overreach that even forced anti-Trump writers to call out their side for peddling a false narrative. Rachel Maddow was one of them. The MSNBC host suggested these our troops were killed because of Trump’s executive order on immigration, which prompted Chad, who also had troops in country to withdraw. In other words, this decision prompted Chad to pull back and out troops got killed, which equals Trump killed them. No, it does not. First of all, the distance between Chadian and American forces at the time of the ambush was 733 miles. We were in Tongo Tongo, Chad was in Diffa executing anti-Boko Haram operations. It just wasn’t a factor, so maybe it’s best that these clowns won’t be at the State of the Union.
And yet what source says he actually said that? It’s total hearsay and doesn’t pass the test for me to take at face value.
I am curious as to how stupid your average Democrat politician is, because hey, they are a reflection of the people who vote for them.
Indeed.
There will be cutaway moments to highlight the military who will be taking the vacant seats.
Count on Trump making sure to mention how the DemonRats want to cut the military spending to make us less safe.
Trump plays them like no other.
MAGAnificent!!!
I don’t support placing the members of the military in empty seats. We need to keep the floor dedicated to members of Congress and the SCOTUS.
Why do I say this?
Because the next time the Democrats held office, they would load the floor with all manner of miscreants.
It’s just not a good idea.
Place anyone you like in the gallery, as long as they understand they’ll be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law, if they disrupt.
BTW: He does play them. It’s great to see isn’t it.
George Bush, take notes...
>>Lewis, 77, said he cannot go forward with attending the address to Congress, after what President Donald Trump “has said about so many Americans... I wouldn’t be honest with myself.” He also told NBC News he believes Trump has racism “in his DNA.”
Did Mr. Lewis ever ONCE denounce the racist bigotry and hate of Robert Byrd (D-KKK), a Klu Klux Klan RECRUITER and a man who continued to use the word nigger into the 1990s justifying his usage by claiming that there are white niggers too.
Oh, nose! Please pretty please sit in the audience and scowl. It just wouldn’t be right without you./s
I am wondering when we are going to finally admit we are two different countries with totally different values and goals? We need a divorce as our differences have become insurmountable and irreconcilable. Let it be an amicable separation with no hard feelings.
I am sick to death of that damned party which does nothing but insult and defame our president and his supporters.
WOW, separated at birth?
Five empty seats. Heck of a message. </sarcasm>
I meant a thousand in a week.
Each empty seat should be given to a vet.
Of course he does! He's white! And that's genetic!
I agree.
He's a democRat,that's enough
I wouldn’t mind if they did.
