If you own one of these cars, you have a vagina.
I mostly study Hebrew on disk or listen to Fox news.
Skip the DVD player in the ceiling. Every kid over 2 has his or her own video player. The built-in DVD players have lousy reliability, too, and cost a fortune to fix.
Already to strap Aunt Edna to the roof rack.
Such a deal.
Yes, a Tundra counts. My Tundra 2000 has been stolen and found, stuck in the serf and extracted, over 230,000 miles, been driven on salted roads of PA for 20 years, is rusting just as fast as I am wrinkling and it has even had its frame replaced at Toyota’s expense. It runs like a top and I LOVE it...it is MY TRUCK!!!
I don't know. What birth defect? It was given to me by a deceased friend.
Keeping the longest does not mean the most reliable.
I owned a Chevy, a Saturn, an Oldsmobile a mercury and a ford. Not one got anywhere near 100,000 miles without needing expensive repairs. I just gave my 2006 Camry to my daughter. It has 245,000 miles on it. My wifes 2009 Camry has 174,500 miles on it. Both were bought new. Neither has ever needed anything beside routine maintenance. I have a 2012 Kia with 137,000 on it, I just neeeded a wheel bearing for $300. Other than that, all routine maintenance. I will never buy another American car.
Yep. VW Golf on the list proves it.
FWIW I have owned 12 hondas in my life. When my kids started to drive we had 4 at one time. We had mechanic who worked in his mothers garage and had a diagnostic machine. He was half what the honda dealer charged.
I wanted an avalon three years ago when they spiffed up the design, but my wife who is very active needed a car more. We looked at Highlander, Pilot and Ppathfinder. She brought the Highlander because it was the only one which fit into the garage with a paddleboard on top.
Anyone who needs a mid-sized SUV I highly recommend the Highlander
“The BMW or the Porsche might well last for decades, but who want to be seen in a 5-year-old model? Not the sort of big shot who buys one, thats for sure.”
BMW are actually best even more budget minded people.
2001 F-150 with no serious issues other than crappy paint. The leather seats have split, but other than that Im keeping it until I want another bill.
1997 Chevy Silverado CC Dually 38,500 miles, bought new, and not for sale, either!
Just “Bullit” yesterday, 1968, starring Steve McQueen, a 1968 Mustang 290 Fastback, and a 1968 Dodge Charger.
Not a ToyoHondaNissubaru [generic, shapeless, personality-less blob car] in sight, anywhere in the movie.
Better days, better cars...
This past summer, an elderly man with a cane hobbled over to my car, as I sat in the driver’s seat, ready to depart, and scolded me for not keeping the *wood* on the wagon in better condition. *You should use a good quality of wax*, he said.
I thanked him, and told him the wood was some kind of Contact paper .... he hobbled off, shaking his head. Good times. :)
A new Bullit will be available shortly, $$$$.
I just gave my 1995 Ford Explorer that I special ordered to my son last week. Still running.
Not one American nameplate on the list.
