In the altercation, which occurred shortly after takeoff, the male co-pilot allegedly slapped the aircraft’s female commander, prompting her to leave the cockpit of the Boeing 777 in tears, according to sources for The Times of India.

I've been flying for fifty years, I raised and financed an airline jet captain. By the time you make ATP, (airline captain) you should be able to "compose yourself" in nano-seconds. Somebody, maybe many "somebodies" should have detected this weakness long before she put on that fourth stripe!

What’s wrong with women today?

I believe if this happened back, say during wwll when there were women ferrying warplanes, the girl in the left seat would damn well have stayed there irrespective of whether she cried or felt like crying. Our Culture as a whole is decaying.

I had absolutely no problem flying around India. Alcohol is prohibited and you always get a fresh hot meal, veg or no veg, your choice. Everyone was friendly and professional.

If you’re ever forced to fly in India Jet Airways is still a better choice than Air India. Sort of like the difference between ANA and Japan Airways, but on an entirely different scale of competence. And don’t even get me started about Fustercluck International Airport in Mumbai.
