Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders claimed Saturday that “no one wants” a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
Sanders tweeted Saturday:
SenSanders I'm not sure why President Trump wants to shut down the government over an $18 billion wall that no one wants, isn't needed and Mexico won't pay for. Sanders makes active use of his Twitter account and called the GOP tax cuts “looting” in December. This prompted Donald Trump Jr. to tweet at him, “I’m still trying to figure out how letting Americans keep more of THEIR money is looting… but you know logic and such is long gone with the libs. Also socialists likely shouldn’t talk about looting and history in the same sentence.

The Wall is important. There needs to be a serious physical barrier between the USA and the failed narco state to our south.

This is the Senator who sat on his butt for 30 years and sponsors zero bills, writes no bills and accomplished nothing. His greatest accomplishment was competing against Hillary. who could not win an election as a dog catcher.
And to spin off from the first part of his lunatic statement...
IF the Government gets shut down, announce in advance that it will not be a furlough of non-essential employees, but a temporary layoff.
Non-essential employees can use their PTO (paid time off) until it runs out. After that they can go on leave without pay just like the citizen workers who fund their paychecks get to do during a downturn. If conditions get resolved, they may return to work at their former pay and seniority status.
