Cuomo says New York will sue over GOP tax law
Washington Post ^

Posted on 01/03/2018 5:01:46 PM PST by matt04

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday that New York state will sue the federal government over the new Republican tax law, but legal experts are skeptical the lawsuit will hold up in court.

Cuomo said New York will challenge a provision of the law that limits how much Americans can deduct from their federal taxes for payments made to state and local governments. Many of the people most affected by that provision live in states run by Democrats, which tend to have higher state and local tax rates.

Cuomo, widely seen as a potential contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, said the provision is “violative of states' rights and the principle of equal protection.”

Yes Cuomo is answering debt by.... more pointless lawsuits instead of looking where to behave. Unfrackingbelievable

They are following the hyperinflation government control curse of Yugoslavia.

Bill Clinton’s war is not what broke the Serbs, it is the implementation during the crisis of full blown communist totalitarianism which out red tape measures of price controls that increased costs and made inflation even worse

You were expecting anything intelligent from a Cuomo?

Mario “The Pias” Cuomo was amazingly stupid. His two sons are weapons-grade stupid.

The Supremes ruled that Obamacare was legal insofar as it was couched as tax law and therefore entirely within the purview of the feds. Case dismissed.

These liberal b*tches have been whining about wanting to pay MORE taxes for the past eight years. You give them what they ask for and they throw their little tantrums. They’d b*tch if you hung them with a new rope.

Heaven forbid he ever throws his hat in the ring for president. He is much too ugly to be seen more than once in a lifetime. How could two brothers be so different - not in politics for sure but in looks? Chris Cuomo is not bad to look at but that Andrew - ugh!!!!

Will the curtain finally be drawn back on the problems that states and cities face when permanently run by democrats?
Sure hope so.

Cuomo has to look and sound tough.

He can’t tell the truth out his high tax racket.

Trying to play the victim here, makes him look really week.

I’ma fight for yooz New York. With what? ...a NYC accent and a spatula?

"Cuomo, widely seen as a potential contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020..."

Yeah, they always said the same thing about his old man, and like his old man, Andy has way too much baggage to actually run.

Does not affect the state itself so the state has no standing. This should result in a mass exodus of the sucessful businesses who can operate in a tax free or lower tax state as well as NY or CA. Its really going to hit blue states hard.
