House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes is accusing the Justice Department and FBI of “intransigence” for ignoring a subpoena issued more than four months ago for interviews and records related to the infamous Steele dossier.
“At this point it seems the DOJ and FBI need to be investigating themselves,” Nunes wrote Thursday in a bluntly worded letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Nunes, a California Republican, accused Rosenstein of ignoring a subpoena issued on Aug. 24 for a slew of records related to the dossier, the Democrat-funded report that is central to the allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians during the presidential campaign.
Nunes is asking Rosenstein to produce summaries of all interviews conducted with witnesses and confidential human sources as part of the investigation into the dossier by Jan. 3, next Wednesday.
He is also demanding that Rosenstein set dates for next month for interviews with former DOJ Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok, FBI general counsel James Baker, FBI lawyers Lisa Page and Sally Moyer, and the FBI’s congressional liaison, Greg Brower.

The Just Us Department is only interested in protecting Fedzilla.
The same apparently holds true for the DOJ since they could compel the FBI to provide the requested information.

Seems like Nunes wants to introduce the documents he knows about that the depts won’t fork over before the IG report hits. Is he worried about a whitewash?
Squeeze play. Firing offenses. Will force Rosenstein to fire McCabe (and pals), or Sessions to fire Rosenstein. (Or Trump to fire Sessions, but that won’t happen during this part of the play.)
IMO only, Sessions Will Not Stand for a Contempt of Congress resolution, which Nunes will absolutely bring on Janary 4th. Putting Sessions into the same basement as Holder would be a life-changing humiliation.

The FBI is an extremely powerful agency, with broad powers of investigation, secrecy and information gathering.
It therefor is constantly being tempted with political corruption. In fact, the history of the FBI is secretive, behind-the-scenes meddling and corruption - from Hoover, to Felt, to Freeh, to Comey/McCabe/Strzock.
The Republic needs to take a serious look at FBI and greatly limit its powers.
This tells me that the fake dossier was used to otain a warrant from the FISA court to wiretap Gen. Flynn and other US Citizens.
AG Sessions needs to give a direct order to the FBI Director to turn over those documents.
Tragically, hints are that Rudy’s mental acuity is not what it used to be. If true, it explains a lot including the fact that he doesn’t seem to appear on TV much, if at all, anymore.

DC is occupied territory. DC agencies are dominated by enemies foreign and domestic. It is war and the good guys are not getting enough help from real USA.
Remember when federal law enforcement agencies didn’t have political affiliations? How long before they start endorsing candidates?
Agreed about limiting its powers, if not outright abolishing it. I don’t know why we need a federal police/investigation agency.
This is definitely an example of “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”.
The FBI is living on the far side.
For our countries survival this needs to be changed.

Goober Sessions plays by the rules set for him by the Rat leftists and media, while Holder and Lynch bite, eye-gouge, rabbit-punch, and groin-kick the Lady holding the scales of justice.
