Prince Harry refused to take part in the Royal Family’s traditional Boxing Day shoot on Tuesday so as not to upset his ‘part-vegan’ activist fiancée, according to reports.

Gamekeepers at the Sandringham estate, where Harry first joined his family at the annual shoot more than 20 years ago, were “stunned” by the prince’s decision...

WTF is a “part-vegan?”

For me, that is a pizza with only cheese and tomato on one half, sausage on the other half.

You're correct...the Boxing Day event is for shooting grouse/pheasant....the article did not mention this.

These birds are not small....grouses weigh up to 15 lbs....pheasants up to 6 lbs or so. Fox hunting was banned in England some years ago.

Shooting large avians, deer, whatever, by the royals in ostentatious social hunts and sorties-with-beaters is still for the birds.

Try skeet, Prince Harry !

I’d be surprised if they make it to the altar. If they get married, a couple of years tops if she has a baby for the money train.

At least I can see them eating the birds.

The fox was a total waste of a life.

As for other prey, I’m not sure that’s a great idea in groups.

How do the Fleet Street tabloids characterize this mismatch?

In 1936 they roasted Edward VIII for abandoning his kingly duties by abdicating & then marrying a twice divorced American.

Even the tabloids have a sense of duty; royals have responsibilities even if not in line for the throne.

Harry & his dusky bride will not fare well with that crowd.

Yes, I know this isn’t a fox hunt. But ask any British poultry farmer what he thinks about foxes & what they do to chickens. Then ask his opinion on fox hunts.

“A fox in the henhouse” has grim meaning over there.

And I have watched many vids of tame foxes interacting with humans & they are touching to see.

We have been watching “The Crown” which is a second season series. He acting is terrific and the historical value as well. It is a series about the Monarchy starting with the abdication, the death of King George VI, and the beginning of QE reign. Just fascinating as it covers Winston Churchill’s later years as PM, The shenanigans of Prince Phillip, Prince Margaret, and the steadfastness of Elizabeth. I am having a hard time reconciling Meghan Markle’s entrance into the royal family with what I have been watching. The Queen must be beside herself, knowing her reign could end at any time and leaving the crown to these yahoos.

The Queen birthed them. She’s reaping what she’s sown.

Harry is as spineless as his great uncle Edward was when Wallis Simpson dug her talons into that cream puff. Hope William has more balls than the rest of the Windsors.

As I see it, QE has been solid in her duties, she has led with dignity and moral clarity. In fact, if there is any fault on her part it is that she was not willing to sacrifice the crown for those around her who did not share the same loyalty to the crown. If there is anyone who is reaping what they sowed, it is Prince Phillip.

"Whipped" is not a good look on anyone, especially royalty.

She's not good enough in bed for that, Harry.

Liz has been at this whole Monarch thing too long.

Just think of how things have changed world wide since she took over.

Those changes, coupled with her not having an heir with both oars in the water, have probably forced her to hold on hoping Chuck loses it and William can step in.

William has some issues, but his taste in women is nearly flawless and if he is as whacked-off as the rest of the clan, he has figured out how to hide it.

All in all Liz has done a pretty good job watching out for her country, but all of these "attacks" that England is dealing with e.g. muzzies and Brexit, are taking their toll on the queen.

Too bad she can't hand the gig to a qualified replacement.

https://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2017/12/meghan-markle-and-prince-harry-fighting-over-royal-prenup/

From the link,

According to In Touch, Meghan is not happy about being asked to sign a financial agreement as part of her prenup.

Sources say the clause was the queen’s suggestion, and Meg resents the insinuation.

...

“She loves Harry, and money is the last thing on her mind,” one insider tells the tabloid.

“Meghan can see where the queen is coming from, but at the same time, Meghan’s insulted that it would even cross the queen’s mind that Meghan would have an ulterior motive for marrying Harry.”

And it seems that’s not the only thing spoiling Meghan’s enjoyment of her holidays with Harry:

“She’s beginning to feel claustrophobic being trapped in Nottingham Cottage,” says the source.

She’s soon to inherit the title:

Princess Pushy

No wonder she is so “liked”, NOT.

Actually, I do feel a bit sorry for Harry. Probably no one else wanted the “job”.

No one is objecting to eliminating foxes preying on "hen houses"....nor to culling animal and bird over-populations when necessary.

It just rubs me the wrong way to see that royalty in many parts of Europe still engage in making a glamorous publicity spectacle out of hunting for sheer sport.
