Thousands watched at a packed stadium in southern China this past weekend as 10 people were publicly sentenced to death and then promptly taken away to be executed.
The 10 Chinese convicts were found guilty of mostly drug-related crimes by China’s criminal justice system, which has a 99.9 percent conviction rate. At a sports stadium in Lufeng, Guangdong Province, they were condemned to death before thousands of onlookers, including young school children, The Paper reported.

I agree; individual rights are BS in Red China today. I’m surprised any Westerners even visit; I guess if forced to do so by an employer there is little choice. Besides the personal safety issue, there are now health-related problems that make it worse than living in Love Canal...

It seemed like during the obama administration heroin use in my Ct town exploded. Yeah, I believe he was bringing that crap in. He is Satanic, and probably was sexually aroused by the idea of suburbia white high school kids killing themselves on it. It cannot be that hard to figure out the supply chain.
The Chinese have their own version of laws and justice.
We have evolved from a good justice system to a burgeoning Legal Industry & recycling operation.
It can disappear in the USA in a flash, too.
Anger the wrong politically-connected individual and you are in big trouble in either country. Avoid politics and they won't really care about you one way or the other.
We do not live in a nation where we are free to speak and act as we please, either - regardless of the intent of the Founding Fathers.

At least they took them away for exrcution. In Saudi Arabia they would proceed to lop off their heads with a sword in the public square. I guess it is harder to get some people’s attention than others.

While I am not a fan of legalizing mj the opioid crisis has nothing to do with it. The opioid crisis was created by the federal government. First they made level of pain the “5th vital sign” in hospitals. Then they started patien satisfaction surveys and value based purchasing where hospitals can gain or lose a percentage of their Medicare reimbursement based on those 2 measures. So you pay hospitals to keep people happy penalize them if they aren’t and focus on pain control. What do you think was going to happen?

Just a wild guess, but I imagine China doesn’t have the drug problem we have.
