The head of Purdue Universitys School of Engineering Education, Donna Riley, argued in a recently published academic journal article tough engineering courses only serves to uphold white male heterosexual privilege. According to a report from Campus Reform, Riley, in an astonishing feat of vague postmodern writing, published an article in the most recent issue of the academic journal Engineering Education in which she argued that the concept of academic rigor is used as a means to exclude students from marginalized groups from academic communities.

The head of Purdue Universitys School of Engineering Education, Donna Riley
Wow, this isn’t some Liberal Arts prof.
This is the Department head sheesh.
What in the world is the difference between the School of Engineering (I'm reasonably certain that Purdue still has one.) and the School of Engineering Education?
Do a search on YouTube for this crazy (or maybe not so crazy) black pastor David Manning and see what he has to say on the subject. "You don't find no cities in Africa that are 500 years old" is a common theme for his rants, and I remember one speech that was titled: "Black people never built a seaworthy ship!"
Riley doesn’t seem to have an engineering degree, instead a degree in ENGINEERING EDUCATION.
Helped found the Engineering Department at Smith, Think of this, SMITH.
Perhaps Jamison and Riley are among the seeming legions women who wear comfortable shoes?
Leah Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering, announced Tuesday (March 28) the next Kamyar Haghighi Head of the School of Engineering Education will be Donna Riley, a professor at Virginia Tech.
Riley currently is interim head of the Engineering Education department at Virginia Tech. She takes on the leadership of Purdues School of Engineering Education on July 1.
Donna brings to the position a strong record of excellence and innovation, a strong commitment to the field of engineering education as a discipline, and great passion and energy, Jamieson said. I know that Engineering Education will thrive under her leadership, and that Purdue will continue to play a leadership role in the field engineering education.
Riley worked as program director for Engineering Education at the National Science Foundation. Prior to that, she spent 13 years as a founding faculty member of the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College, the first engineering program at a U.S. womens college.
Jamieson called Riley a thought leader in the field and cited her achievements in both research and teaching.
There’s a huge difference. She has a bachelors degree in chemical engineering but her PhD. is in something like “Engineering Education Policy.” She hasn’t been involved in any real engineering in years.
And bridges. It uphold bridges. Unless she is arguing that gravity works differently for those light in the loafers.
Or even a drainage ditch.
Is this dope a PE? Or just another unqualified diversity hire? God help us either way.
Uphold -> upholds. Engineering good, English not good. :-)
IQs should thus be controlled and higher IQs should be subjected to electroshock treatments or other means of debilitation in order to render the system more fair.
Harrison Bergeron, call your office.

That original Snowflake, moron, low IQ assertion is worse than useless.
Fixed it to match reality.
So, how did Purdue Universitys School of Engineering Education happen to install a politically-correct but intellectually-challenged leftist idiot like Donna Riley as its ‘head’?
It could not have been by accident - these things do not just ‘happen’.
But if the report is accurate, it appears that with a flick of her ‘pen’ (figuratively speaking, for the purists out there) she has singlehandedly transformed Asian males into “white male heterosexuals”.
Cool...
Oh, for the Sake of Pete. And from the head of Purdue Universitys School of Engineering Education???
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Hey, you stupid cow. You’re a honkie!
So in other words she’s saying minorities are dumb and will never amount to anything unless we make classes easier for them to pass...
she forgot rich and Christian
Obviously a woman who believes blacks, and women, are incapable of competing when the standards are set to high. Then only white men are competent enough. Yes, wow on so many levels that she is the department head, and the woman that selected her, Leah Jamieson, is the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering. I think Purdue University engineering department is in big trouble.
Astonishing is an understatement.
The "Safe Place" promoter is asserting that "marginalized groups" are intellectually genetically unable to meet the same standards!
Self-Racism writ large.
Inclusion tracks competence. It can't be "faked."
No, I don't intend to check the obvious...
Who does she think she is - Diana Moon Glampers?
