Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.

One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

Moore was not RINO which made him a very good candidate. This Commie loser will be gone in 4 years. Alabama will get a non-Establishment replacement to kick Jones’s ass out of the Senate.

Let's all realize how badly the GOP bungled this idiocy. If Luther Strange was the guy to run in this election, then there never should have been a special election in the first place. LUTHER STRANGE WAS ALREADY SITTING THERE IN THAT SEAT, AND HE WAS ORIGINALLY APPOINTED TO SERVE THE REMAINDER OF JEFF SESSIONS' TERM IN OFFICE.

This election only took place because new governor Kay Ivey changed the original appointment and scheduled thins stupid election.

The was the equivalent of a football team scoring a touchdown on a play where there was a penalty against the defense ... THEN ACCEPTING THE PENALTY AND FUMBLING THE BALL AWAY ON THE NEXT PLAY.

Yep. The Republicans need to push abortion legislation, just to force Jones into voting against it.

Yeah I was surprised when he endorsed Strange. But I guess he had some legitimate concerns.

The largest part of Moore’s problem was that he never really addressed nor could he put away the allegations of the 14 year old from forty years ago.

OMG, all those women were easily discredited along with fake evidence. WHAT MORE DID YOU NEED, My gosh!

The write-ins allowed Jones to win.

We won’t see Shelby on TV again. Apparently, the only thing he can bother to get out of bed for is to elect a progressive Democrat.

“When Mo Brooks runs in 2020 we will see how Brooks handles the
fake sexual misconduct allegations leveled at him.”

Mo Brooks will run and win handily.

He’s not hate-able. And Roy Moore is for many people. Including what appears to be a majority of people in Alabama, the most conservative state in the union.

He’s not going to heal it though one senate election. Before He can heal our land, the people in the country have to repent. Period. That starts with the church. That starts with the pulpits. Do you realize how many so-called Christians just pulled the lever for a pro-abortion/pro-sodomy candidate? Hundreds of thousands. And they do it by the millions every election. No. He can’t heal this land with one senator. Not even one president. We are going to have to go through the fire before those who claim the name of Christ actually get serious ABOUT Christ and being holy as He has commanded us to be. Then, God can heal our land. Focus your prayers for revival in the pulpits and the church. The rest will fall into place. And ask God to have mercy on us..,because I suspect we are in for some divine judgment.

163 precincts to report yet. I assume all write-in's have been tallied into the count long ago.

Look on the bright side

Al Franken will be resigning

We'll get back AL in 2020 & the 2018 Midterms we could get 8-10 more Senate Seats!!!

Yep. He waffled just long enough to make people think it might've been true. The Democrats smelled blood in the water and pounced with massive amounts of cash to fund the greatest get-out-the vote effort in state history.

The GOP turned off the money, promised ethics investigations on Day One, and mainstream Republicans stayed home.

I can’t argue against that. Even without the false sexual misconduct charges he was a poor choice. Another pitiful effort by the GOP. It’s mostly their fault, they wanted to run another RINO, Strange. Deep state still in control of the party. They run Mo Brooks and he wins by 20 points

Of course over the next few days, all kinds of evidence of fraud will come out & once again the GOP will do nothing about it.

But millions of Christians have prayed this prayer. They wanted their nation to turn back to God.

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God must have heard our prayers. I guess the prayers didn’t matter all that much.
