Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

You speak the truth, EdnaMode!
Why don’t you volunteer to be an election officer in Fairfax?
True....this should be a landslide but Moore isn’t that popular
Today McConnell said if Moore won he would not be sworn in until Jan. Wanna bet if Jones wins the Dems will want him sworn in immediately, or demand no Senate business be conducted until Jones is seated.
That’s exactly what Tammy Bruce said
Unfortunately, the asshole may be right.
Roy Moore leads by 5 percentage points over Doug Jones with 72 percent of precincts fully reporting.
All those extra absentee ballots that were printed. I read a few days ago that a record number of absentee ballots were printed for this election.. Watch some dem counties show up with close to 100% turnout
COUNTED SO FAR: 72% ROY MOORE 418,463 51.7% DOUG JONES 379,327 46.9%
Okay, it is well over 50% reported and I am looking at counties that should be going 55% for Jones and partway in they are at 58 and 60% for him.
I think as the votes close out, Moore is going to loose. Victory by salacious slur and eight times the money.
Thanks GOPe. We know your character now.
I admit that I enjoy it. Kind of like watching a sporting event. However, i also know that reality is rather harsh.
Still in reach, but Moore needed to be ahead by 100K by now.
I’m really starting to put this on Shelby. What an ass. Couldn’t just keep his 83 year old mouth shut. Bastard.

Looks like Jones will win by 10K-20K votes unless something changes in Jefferson and Montgomery.
McConnell poured millions in the state for Jones. If the SIB wins McConnell is to blame and the GOPe should be investigated.

I’m an American. I’ve learned it’s a uniparty and don’t kid myself.
So how many boxes of democrat ballots have been “found?”
I bet a lot of women did - and “hell hath no fury...”
