President Donald Trump is scheduled to sign his administrations first space policy directive in a White House ceremony Dec. 11, one that will formally direct NASA to send humans back to the moon.
A White House schedule of the presidents activities, released late Dec. 10, includes a 3 p.m. Eastern signing ceremony for Space Policy Directive 1. The schedule didnt provide additional details about the event or the document, but a White House official later confirmed that the directive is linked to human space exploration policy.
The president, today, will sign Space Policy Directive 1 (SPD-1) that directs the NASA Administrator to lead an innovative space exploration program to send American astronauts back to the Moon, and eventually Mars, Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said in an statement Dec. 11.

But what about Muslim outreach???
Just today, during our science class, my 13 year old asked “when are we going to send people back to the moon?”
Maybe I should ask him for some lottery numbers.
President Trump reserves the right to choose which humans are sent to the moon.
What’s the hurry? It’s only been 45 years or so since we last went to the moon?
Look at all the progress in space we’ve made since then.
If someone had told me in the mid 70s we would have abandoned space exploration to the point we would have no way of delivering humans to space in 2017, I’d have told them they were crazy.

First Female Astronaut to walk on the moon.

Debtor nations should not be sending people to the moon.
The trouble with these efforts is that they seem to invariably get bogged down in some sort of politics and are killed off by the succeeding administration.
On a side note, had DJT announced that NASA was going to use Zero-Point powered vehicles for this venture then all bets would be off. but he won’t.
Nanzi and Chuck should be alarmed!
Send Nanzi and Hillary to Mars. Earth will thank you, POTUS!
*ROFL*...That’s great!!!!!!
I think this shift in NASA’s exploration objectives is long overdue.
Exploring Mars with probes and satellites is a worthy endeavor, that has advanced our knowledge of our neighbor planet, but exploring our own satellite makes more sense for a host of reasons.
