White-collar folks who graduated from college are significantly more likely to defect from GOP candidate Roy Moore than blue-collar, non-college-educated people. The country club set cares far more about their state's reputation and the effect it has on the business climate.

A Fox News poll just now on the radio reported that Jones is UP a huge 10% on Moore. The poll was done on LIKELY voters.
This is not good.
I think they’re badly overestimating the number of people who would consider Moore to be an embarrassment.

I have a childhood friend/acquaintance who moved to NYC, married and is raising her children there. About a month ago she posted, “I know there are enough smart people in Alabama to elect Doug Jones.” I thought, really? You just insulted almost everyone you know in your home state.
I think, for Southerners who move north and then tell us how to vote, and how to think, and what’s best for us, it’s their own feelings they are worried about. They don’t want their liberal family/friends to think of them the way they think of us.
Bingo. I grew up in Alabama, and never sensed that people particularly cared what the rest of the country thought of the state.
