In just a few minutes, Al Franken will appear in the well of the Senate to announce his decision about whether to stay or go. CNN and NBC report that Franken will indeed resign and make this his final appearance in the Senate:

I will make this observation...being from Alabama...that they’ve never dealt with a character like this, and as much money (probably the most money in Ala history on this stupid race), and tons of media negativity dumped on Moore...that he won’t step down.
I would also suggest this...that once someone pulls up the Macron of France story and lays it out...the news media will quietly walk back to their cave and realize that they’ve got no real story to tell.
I might suggest that Bannon probably has at least a dozen Democratic Senators/Representatives listed on harassment from the 1980s, and probably would dangle that list out there if they wanted to make this a moral war.
Franken lied. Trump should sue him for slander.
Moore is guilty of not following the guideline of male age/2 + 7, 8 or 9 years for female interactions, 40 years ago.
He has apparently since reformed and should be used by the left as an example of the reformability of Man.

That’s just it, who didn’t know Al Franken was a sophomoric kind of guy when they voted for him? It seems hypocritical that now they turn on him.

He’s not resigning because of that. He’s “resigning” because it was a pattern of behavior. he knows that more is coming. And Moore is coming. Moore will be seated and Franken will race to the spotlight.
Franken won’t officially resign (leave) until after Roy Moore is elected, then, he’ll say, “I’m not leaving unless Roy Moore does too.” (You Just Watch)

Secret plan - Al Franken is waiting to attend John McCain’s funeral as a Senator rather than as a civilian. That’s why he is hanging around, because, hey, how long can it be?

The reality is that the democrats are sacrificing Franken for the chance to get Trump next year. This is not about Franken. I am not sure what he did wrong other than be a cad. Like Don Rickles he did jokes that are no longer considered funny. And his detractors know this.
What the dems are really looking for, is the pure women party that can take great offense at Trump. And this will be the basis for the articles of impeachment. You will say, what about Clinton. And they will say, they were wrong. And these are new times. And harassment will not be allowed in the current times.
So my friends across the aisle. Moore will have been elected after his allegations are known by the voters. Al should resign and then his state can have a special election which he is free to run in. If he wins, he can be a Senator again. Sound fair?
