WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Al Franken will resign from the U.S. Senate on Thursday, Minnesota Public Radio reported, after more than half of his Senate Democratic colleagues urged him to do so in light of sexual misconduct accusations.

There are pushing frankin out because they want the precedent to kick moore out once he gets elected.
While this is great if true, I still think that this is all a set up. Eight accusations against Franken. What will happen when we get eight accusations against Trump?

Alabama voters are not going to abandon Moore because a left wing perv Minnesota senator resigns. Alabamans are smarter than that.
However will Democrats have the stomach to finally face up to serial sexual predator Bill Clinton? If Roy Moore can be lynched with questionsble 40 year old accusations, how much more egregious are Clinton’s well known sexual predations.
They wouldn’t be urging him to resign if they didn’t know the governor of Minnesota would replace him with a liberal and it was a fairly safe seat in the election.

It doesn’t cost the democrats anything, he will be appointed by anther democrat whom we will have a more difficult time defeating in 2018.
Real scandals come to light when power is not about to change hands as a result of them. Political scandles are only brought up at the last minute during a political campaign.
That said until there is proof and some kind of trial nobody should ever do anything. Men deserve the presumption of innocence no matter how damming the evidence might seem.
Using a reference to the funniest movie ever made in a discussion of an unfunny pervert who took election stealing lessons from LBJ is pretty low.
Then again, maybe Franken-stein can learn how to be funny from this and other Mel Brooks classics... Nah, never happen.
