Donald Trump was just 11 minutes into his presidency when his choice for national security adviser, Michael Flynn, texted a former business partner to say an ambitious U.S. collaboration with Russia to build nuclear reactors in the Middle East was "good to go," according to a new whistleblower account.
As Trump delivered his inaugural address, says the unnamed whistleblower, Flynn directed Alex Copson, managing director of ACU Strategic Partners, to inform their business partners "to put things in place."
The whistleblower also says that Flynn assured Copson that U.S. sanctions on Russia that could block the nuclear project would be "ripped up" once Trump was inside the White House.
The account from the anonymous whistleblower is detailed in a new letter from the top Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to his Republican counterpart asking that the panel subpoena Flynn, Copson, the White House and others involved in the alleged plan.
"Our Committee has credible allegations that President Trump's National Security Advisor sought to manipulate the course of international nuclear policy for the financial gain of his former business partners," Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., wrote in a letter sent Wednesday to Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.

Flynn went into business for himself in an exemplification of the recklessness and duplicity that got him fired by President Trump.
I thought flynn was fired before Trump was sworn in?

Back off and wait for the whole story before piling on based on the words of that liar Cummings.
Nuclear plants in the Middle East are a bad idea.
Even if true, this doesn’t mean anything about Trump colluding with Russia Russia Russia.
Remember they had been working for a while by then during a, wait for it, Transition. Probably had a list of hundreds of decisions ready to go on day 1 like a good planning team should. Not to mention I’m sure they were all ticked off by Obama trying to throw a stink bomb into foreign policy in the 11th Hour. No way he wouldn’t have known by then what Trump was going to do. Nothing to see here. Elijah get back to keeping your constituents on the plantation.

He sounds like a loose cannon.
Don’t see a problem with that...certainly NOT Russian collusion. Just letting Russia know what was coming, so they didn’t do anything rash - like take Obama’s bait to start an incident.
Anyway, TOO LATE! Trump just recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel...MUCH BIGGER STORY. They should have sat on the Flynn crap another day.
Thank God H.R. McMaster came in time. If anything, Obama admin went too light on Putin’s kleptocracy and Bush screwed it up first with his pathetic “I looked Putin in the eye and saw his soul” comment. Then there’s the sellout of Uranium under Secretary Clinton.
Trusting Russia as it stands could have been Trump’s foreign policy undoing.
