President Donald Trump questioned the politics of his decision to finally acknowledge former President Barack Obama was born in the US, which he did late during the campaign in 2016, according to a source close to the White House.
The source said that shortly after he made the statement, Trump told aides that he would have done better in the polls had he continued to stand his ground on the birth certificate issue.
Trump has continued to question the legitimacy of Obama's birth certificate during private conversations in recent months, The New York Times reported Tuesday, citing advisers who discussed Trump's statements.
Trump still questioning Obama's birthplace is just one of several instances The Times pointed to as examples of the President's reliance on "manufactured facts," as the newspaper reported Tuesday.
One sitting US senator quoted by the Times, "who listened as the President revived his doubts" about the issue, "chuckled" when speaking about what was said. Trump "has had a hard time letting go of his claim that Mr. Obama was not born in the United States," the senator, who "asked not to be named to discuss private conversations," told The New York Times.

Obama is definitely NOT an American. In his formative years, he lived far away from the homeland.
Jake Tapper did a segment on the NYT claims with his panel. It is as though CNN is trying to bait Trump to go public with a renewed denial that Barry was born in the US.
Of course that would be great for CNN’s ratings.
They would continue to fail to investigate Sheriff Arpaio’s evidence...
I’m completely unwilling, like my President, to believe Obummer was born in the U.S. We did see his selective service records and they were a fraud. Only citizens had to register, so Obummer never bothered. And when it was brought up he had none, suddenly they appeared on a card which was years newer than the card being used when he was supposed to have registered. And neither hospital in Hawaii has his birth records...I tend to believe the birth record showing his birth in Africa (under Brit. control at the time). And I have read online that this birth was registered in England, but nobody doing genealogy is permitted to view that particular record. He’s a con.
Both the Certificate of Live Birth and the Birth Certificate were pathetic amateurish fakes so who would question them?
What about the reason behind his having a Connecticut social security number when he had no connection to that state?
Just another in a long line of unanswered questions about the fraud.
The ONLY thing I can think of is Hawaii and Connecticut were close in numbers, so somebody could have messed up. Then again, I really don't know.
But his birth certificate, Selective Service card, his Official Certificate of Nomination (there were two, the second and final version didn't include the verification of eligibility under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution) and more.
The “80” for the year on Obama’s Selective Service card appears to have been cut/pasted from 2008, as the “8” was upside down, plus his card had two digits for the year, not four.
That would explain why nobody wants to pry into his school records.
My theory is that that is real father iw his grandfather’s buddy, Frank Marshall David. His grandmother and grandfather in an effort to protect Frank Marshall Davis arrange a fake marriage with Stanley Ann, the pregnant teenage mother. Stanley Ann goes back to the mainland. She had Obama at the Salvation Army Maternity Home outside of Vancouver,BC in Canada. Two weeks later Stanley Ann visits high school friend in Seattle to show off her newborn. The next week Stanley Ann enrolls at the university in Seattle.I believe that Stanley Ann’s parents sent her to the maternity home is Canada to give birth and then have the baby adopted.

Obama told us he was adopted. His name was changed to Soetoro and the original birth certificate was sealed, a new one issued. So how did he become “Obama” again and get the “original certificate”? Why did not one drive-by MSM ask about that?
My guess is that his “father” is listed as unknown, or is indeed the commie Frank Marshall Davis.
As far as his school records, it will probably show that he was enrolled as a foreign student to get a discount on tuition, or that his GPA is a lot lower than G.W.Bush’s... Probably 0.1% above the absolute minimum to keep from being expelled.
A lot of that theory is sound, but the marriage never happened. Stanley Ann listed herself with both the Honolulu and Seattle Polk Directories as Mrs. Ann Obama. However, on both her Washington transcript and HI transcript—i.e.: the U of HI transcript for *after* her sojourn in Seattle—she is listed as Stanley Ann Dunham. Iow, she was pretending to be Mrs. Obama whereas in fact her legal name never changed.
In ‘61 SA would have taken her husband’s name if she’d had one...but she didn’t. Michelle Obama was right: SA was very young and very single when she had her first child.
It does not matter if he was born in Hawaii if his father was a foreign national.

Just to add to your comments. In posting the forgery, the White House committed a felony. When the hospital in Hawaii issued the PDF document, it violated Hawaiian law, meaning that the hospital committed a felony by issuing an electronic copy. The law in Hawaii specifically prohibits issuance of any electronic document related to birth and requires the original, paper document. Whether or not Obama was born in Hawaii, he presented a felonious forgery issued in contravention of law as proof of his dubious heritage.

The audio on that YouTube video has been noted many times to have been doctored. You’ll noted that one can’t see his mouth move when he comes out with the juicy tidbits. Someone has the original audio that was supposedly authenticated by from multiple sources.
