If this is the shape Korea's elite troops are in imagine the life of a peasant. It also shows why they are so intent on developing a nuclear arsenal. They aren't fit enough to last a week in a conventional war.

I don't know how to stop North Korea's nukes or artillery, but the infantry could be stopped within a few hundred yards of the border with some good buffet lines.

Set up glorious banquets on the edge of the DMZ. A few fans to make sure the aroma reaches the guards. Invite them over.

At 5 feet 5 inches and 130 pounds, hes much shorter and lighter than the average South Korean his age. Sounds like President Trump's 11-year-old son could give the average N. Korean infantryman a run for his money in a fair fight.

I’m going to predict that this is the beginning of the end for the present North Korean regime. Whether it’s, also, the end of North Koreans living as a communistic dictatorship is another story, entirely, and much more difficult, unfortunately.

Unless I’m mistaken, I don’t believe corn kernels are broken down very much in the digestive process.

If Kim’s soldiers are this bad off, it seems like they would be susceptible to turning against him. His control levers need to be taken away from him.

Send them Ben & Jerrys ice cream as chemical warfare. The troops will die from heart attacks like the owner did.

I have not found parasites this big in the intestines of South Koreans or anywhere outside medical textbooks.
If I were a South Korean surgeon, and my medical textbook had a big parasite in it, I would return the book to the bookstore and get a refund.

Such utter misery those people live in. For one lousy, fat boy. Counting my blessings and hope he can’t slaughter them all before he is overthrown or otherwise stopped. The aftermath is uncertain..except for the massive humanitarian crisis that is waiting following that regime.

Issue hot dogs to all the border/DMZ troops and have them put one on each bayonet. Attacking NorK soldiers will all surrender at the sight.

Maybe we should use drones to airdrop very good food supplies to North Korean soldiers on the border, with pictures & greetings from their South Korean counterparts; saying "come join us" [ wa-seo - 와서 ]. Maybe we'd get some mass defections. Our diplomats could make the argument it was ONLY a "humanitarian" gesture.

gosh, a sample population of One gives you zero statistical evidence of anything....but hey, folks, don’t let that fact sway your opinion of the rest of the million folks in uniform there.
One thing I learned as a Soldier was never to underestimate the threat. A motivated foe starving foe equipped with a rock or two is harder to beat than a well fed and well trained/led foe who does not care to fight.
That said, NORK is a failed state, just need to let the people of NORK know that and give them some “real” news regarding the status of the rest of the world....
