Fox News host Jeanine Pirro was pulled over for speeding in upstate New York after she was clocked going 119 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The New York Daily News reported Pirro was stopped by a state trooper in Tioga County around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.
Pirro, the host of "Justice With Judge Jeanine," said she was on her way to visit her ailing mother but vowed to "pay the consequences."
I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didnt realize how fast I was driving. I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences, Pirro said in a Fox News Channel statement.
New York's Department of Motor Vehicles says a conviction for going more than 40 mph over the speed limit could put 11 points on a driver's license. Eleven points will lead to a license suspension.
Not guilty. Next?
I often like her, but I also often think she is a little “hyper”.
I have an SRT-8 Challenger, 6-speed manual shift and cold air induction. It’s not a HellCat as it only has a meager 530hp compared to the HellCat’s 700+. Driving that car on the interstate practically requires you to use the cruise control. If ya don’t, after an hour or so, the speed has creeped up on ya without you even realizing it.
My brother-in-law and I took it to the big car show in Carlisle, PA. After driving for quite a while, I needed a break so I let him drive. I forgot to mention running it with the cruise on. I fell asleep. I happened to wake up an hour or so later and noticed we were haulin’ butt up I-81 at a pretty fast pace. I looked over and he was doing 125mph!!! When I pointed it out to him, he was in shock. He slowed down to 75, set the cruise and it felt like we were crawling along at 25 mph.
High as I’ve ever had it is 173 mph on the Texas Mile outside of Beeville, TX. It was still climbing but running out of road...quick...had to back off.
Yes they are
I’m not unsympathetic. But she she still needs to slow down. And I say that as someone who’s been in her shoes. A few times.
NOT GUILTY!!!!
She was going 119 and didn’t realize how fast she was going? What the hell was she driving? A Bugatti?
I’ve gotten some passes in my day too.
It does feel good to get a pass once in a while.
The last time it happened, I thanked the guy by NEVER speeding in that area again. I watch my speed religiously in that area.
I think we all go over the speed limit a bit, but I try not to. And in this area, I make it a conscious effort to honor the pass I got by adhering to the law.
It is for everyone’s safety, and I do not want to hurt a family or a member of a family due to my inappropriate driving.
Yep. Karma for throwing Judge Moore under the bus.
She can't DRIVE DRESS 55!
(or in her case, 66)
Yup, unsafe without modifications. Stiffer shorter front coils and shocks in front, lowered frame, and an air dam in front will help stabilize it. That's what I did to a few of my cars, without it the floating is scary as hell.
Gumball Rally, one of my favorites.
Yes, no doubt. But you'd have to be significantly impaired to "not realize" you were going that fast.
“Ive watched videos of these crazy, crazy kids going long past 100 mph on a motorcycle. “
Past 200 in a few cases. Still in a wheelie at 150.
Actually I was driving a friends Lexus LS 400 in the late 90’s & I was complaining that the person in front of me was going so slow. Then I looked down to see exactly how slow the person was going & I was doing 110, and it felt like I was doing 70 max. I exclaimed, oh lord I had no idea I was going that fast. My friend just laughed. Needless to say I slowed down & the vehicle in front of me pulled away still going lickety-split.
I think it was Montana where I did that.
Yep. She knew. Maybe not that she was doing 119, but even in a Bentley or Ferrari, much over 100 mph couldn’t be unnoticed even if relatively comfortable.
I once did a tad over that speed (200 kph - 133 mph) in a rented 700 series BMW on the Autobahn in Germany. I wanted to see how fast the car would go with my foot to the firewall. German cars are engineered to handle that type of speed, but after a few seconds, realizing that even a small mistake would send the car, me, and my passengers airborne, I slowed down to a more manageable 140 kph (93 mph). Very much deepened my respect for the skills of professional race car drivers.
In retrospect, it would have been a helluva lot cheaper to have hired someone to driver her. I understand the adrenalin pumping in a rush to visit an ailing parent, and losing track of speed. But, boy, is this gonna cost her!!!
Any Mercedes, BMW or Audi. You can be driving on the autobahn here at 130 km/h (80 mph) and some German will blow past you like you were standing still.
It usually not the big cars, but the smaller ones. All you see is a blur and then they are fading into the horizon.
