I have an SRT-8 Challenger, 6-speed manual shift and cold air induction. It’s not a HellCat as it only has a meager 530hp compared to the HellCat’s 700+. Driving that car on the interstate practically requires you to use the cruise control. If ya don’t, after an hour or so, the speed has creeped up on ya without you even realizing it.
My brother-in-law and I took it to the big car show in Carlisle, PA. After driving for quite a while, I needed a break so I let him drive. I forgot to mention running it with the cruise on. I fell asleep. I happened to wake up an hour or so later and noticed we were haulin’ butt up I-81 at a pretty fast pace. I looked over and he was doing 125mph!!! When I pointed it out to him, he was in shock. He slowed down to 75, set the cruise and it felt like we were crawling along at 25 mph.
High as I’ve ever had it is 173 mph on the Texas Mile outside of Beeville, TX. It was still climbing but running out of road...quick...had to back off.

See my post 146. I thought the SRT Challenger had 485 HP? I recently met a guy who showed me his Hellcat Charger rated at 707 HP. Both are also damn fine vehicles.
