Fox News host Jeanine Pirro was pulled over for speeding in upstate New York after she was clocked going 119 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The New York Daily News reported Pirro was stopped by a state trooper in Tioga County around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.
Pirro, the host of "Justice With Judge Jeanine," said she was on her way to visit her ailing mother but vowed to "pay the consequences."
I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didnt realize how fast I was driving. I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences, Pirro said in a Fox News Channel statement.
New York's Department of Motor Vehicles says a conviction for going more than 40 mph over the speed limit could put 11 points on a driver's license. Eleven points will lead to a license suspension.
There is no way you can be at 119 mph and not be aware how fast you are driving!
Agree, but if it might be your last chance to see your mom you might decide it’s worth it. I read upthread her mom has cancer.
I would have driven 150 mph if it gave me a chance to spend time with my dad.
Right. Unless you are on a wide open highway (e.g., Montana) at that speed and above you run out of open road very, very fast.
Which reminds me, I’ve watched videos of these crazy, crazy kids going long past 100 mph on a motorcycle. Man, just watching that scares the daylights out of me.
Yeah, whatever.
I've driven a lot of different cars-- some of them high end luxry. I've lived in Germany, and driven the "average" speed on the autobahn.
I don't care what you're driving. You're going to know when you're going 119.
Sorry. I like the Judge, but this is B as in B, S as in S.
When she divorced her tax cheat husband five or so years ago, among their property was a fleet of vehicles including Bentleys, Mercedes, and a least one Ferrari, as well as older classic cars.
Baby you can’t drive my car
I once got a stock 1967 Mustang up to 110 on a country road... that’s when it started “floating”... stock suspension was NOT made for those aerodynamics!
Have always thought she is gorgeous
We should set up a donation fund. I don’t want her missing a meal due to having to pay the ticket. She is too thin as it is. Can you imagine if she has to decide on electric or water bill next month due to the cost of the ticket. I don’t think she is one of those millionaires like most on TV. Her show is only once a week.
Pretty amazing looking for a 66 year old woman.
I can understand it —I’ve been ticketed more than once in my Honda accord —that is a nice ride —can hold 100 mph with no problem. When your on the road for a long period of time (like I was driving to my daughter’s home on a regular basis from NoVirginia, you can get hypnotized by the road —and believe me, keeping up with traffic can push you into triple digits. She fessed up and will pay the consequences —but it can be easy to slip into to.....
In NC speeding 5 miles over the speed limit in a 70 mph zone can yield a citation for reckless driving and immediate suspension of license even on the first offense.
Reckless driving is a class 2 misdemeanor with penalties of up to 60 days in jail and a $1000 fine. Up to 4 points can be assigned to the driver’s license. Plus insurance rates will skyrocket.
If you’re going to fly like that, take a plane. It’s not like she’s poor.
Did 120mph for a short stretch in my Audi once. It was Christmas day and I-95 was empty.
I knew it.
One time I was on a road trip on I-5 with several other friends in their cars, going from L.A. to S.F. We all had the same sports cars, and a couple friends challenged me to a race. We had CB radios to keep contact. So three of us are racing between 100 to 120 mph when one friend drops back, and radios us to look out - highway patrol is on us! Just then, me and my other friend see a CHP car pull up alongside us. At that point, we had slowed to 90mph. He looks at us, smiles and waves. He then shot ahead of us while we slowed down to the speed limit. A few miles up, we saw that he pulled over an ordinary sedan. We got a pass from this decent cop!
