Former congresswoman Gabby Giffords's gun control group released a report on Wednesday warning of the dangers of muzzle loading rifles, a number of other firearms, and some firearms accessories and calling for new gun control measures targeting the devices.

The article mentions how gun manufacturers are readily exploiting this “loophole” in the NFA which explains why I have to drive over 100 miles to find a store that sells black powder.
In the mid 70’s I brought a black power pistol kit for a shop class project. Making hunting knives was also very popular in shop class too.
Oh no. Guess my muzzle loader with silencer, bump stock, 30 round magazine and pistol grips will just have to go. Dangnabit!

Standard for troops in the Civil war was 3 aimed shots per minute but the average for a sustained rate in combat was 1-2 per minute.
A fellow I worked with collected Rotating barrel muzzle loaders.
Some I saw were 3,4, 5 barrels.
