President Trump got his wish Wednesday afternoon when the three UCLA basketball players busted in China for shoplifting thanked him for his help in getting them home.
The three, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley and LiAngelo Ball younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball also apologized to their families and their school, while thanking the Chinese cops for treating them well.
I would like to thank President Trump and the United States government for the help they provided. I am grateful to be back home and I will never make a mistake like this again. I am extremely sorry for those that I let down, said Ball, reading from a script in a monotone.
A contrite Riley and Hill expressed similar sentiments.
All three have been suspended indefinitely by UCLA.

They each need to lose their ‘scholarships’.
IF another school desires to take them on, then I suggest they do a complete mental profile of each of them.
I appreciate the mention. That sounds entirely plausible.
The change in those people’s demeanor is rather humorous, but the need for it isn’t. I’m sure the dynamics are just as you have stated too.
Thanks.
I agree with everything you said. I made mistakes and learned from them.
I’m sure they are disappointed that Rev. Jackson didn’t come to secure their release.
Bullseye!
Just saw them on Fox and there is proof positive they know how to read...........
BTW: Glad you were able to learn from them.
I know some people in their 50s who never learned from their mistakes. I’m not sure why it never clocks with some people.
I dunno, they thanked Trump, didn't they?
Take off your glasses. Just sayin' .
He’s saying that it was a mistake to do it. It was an act of hubris, as I see it. I’m willing to take him at his word.
What do you want to bet that Trump promised the Chinese they wouldn’t be visiting China again.
