Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and several other Republican senators said on Thursday if allegations are true, Alabama Senate Republican candidate Judge Roy Moore should drop out of the race.
The Washington Post released a story on Thursday alledging that Moore initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32, as well as other cases of sexual misconduct.
Moore denied the allegations.
These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign, Moore said.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, If these allegations are true, he must step aside.
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) argued, If there is any shred of truth to the allegations against Roy Moore, he should step aside immediately.
Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) said, If there is any truth at all to these horrific allegations, Roy Moore should immediately step aside as a Senate candidate.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) said, Im horrified and if this is true he needs to step down immediately. Murkowski also said that she spoke to Luther Strange about becoming a write-in challenger to oppose Moore in the December 12 election.
Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) said, It was very troubling if what we read is true and people are on the record so I assume it is, adding that Moore should step aside.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) tweeted on Thursday, The allegations against Roy Moore are deeply disturbing and disqualifying. He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of.
The Roy Moore campaign said in a subsequent statement that if the allegations were true, they would have surfaced during his previous campaigns. This garbage is the very definition of fake news, he added.

Mitch’s version of the TMZ tape. Smart conservatives & evangelicals need not buy into this garbage.
I’m sure that McConnell would far rather talk about Roy Moore than Bob Menendez...
A Sixpack of Swampwater.
No surprise here - McConnell is definitely still involved in Alabama and is now using McCain and the WaaaaaPoS as front men tr try to stop a real Conservative from “tainting” the GOPe/RINO ranks....
I wonder if Portman would feel the same way if some bimbo stepped forward and made a similar 40 year old allegation about him?
bmp
Blow job McConnell needs to be subjected to the same assassination by innuendo. He needs to be taken down by whatever secrets are in his own past. Go home Mitch or else.
These folks need serious attitude adjustments. I will say no more.
Because the GOP lets McConnell and RINO Ryan represent them
the GOP deserves all the HATE it will get,
however, the American people do NOT deserve the
continuing lies of the scummy, lying, deceitful GOP.
Moore has all the right enemies.
Six Sabotiers
Mitch continues to work hard to ensure democrats will gain a majority in the Senate in 2018.
He likely has a well heeled friend in the White House helping him. Trump was out first against him, reportedly, angry when Moore won the primary.. makes you wonder who is funding the fake news against Moore. Prayers n cash for Moore.
Man, those corrupt Republicans simply have to be voted out of office. Do their constituents not see the corruption?
McConnell does not want to see a strong Roy Moore in the senate. Mitch trashes republicans who disagree with him and Roy Moore as a senator would destroy McConnell.
My money says Mitch is behind the smear.
Looks like a who’s who of swamp denizens. Did McConnell orchestrate the smear?
