Washington (CNN) A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter. The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge.
Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said.
It is unclear what the charges are. A spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment.
Mueller was appointed in May to lead the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Under the regulations governing special counsel investigations, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has oversight over the Russia investigation, would have been made aware of any charges before they were taken before the grand jury for approval, according to people familiar with the matter.
On Friday, top lawyers who are helping to lead the Mueller probe, including veteran prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, were seen entering the court room at the DC federal court where the grand jury meets to hear testimony in the Russia investigation.
Reporters present saw a flurry of activity at the grand jury room, but officials made no announcements.

Mueller is authorized to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation," according to Rosenstein's order.
The special counsel's investigation has focused on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as obstruction of justice by the President, who might have tried to impede the investigation.
CNN reported that investigators are scrutinizing Trump and his associates' financial ties to Russia. Mueller's team has also examined foreign lobbying conducted by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and others. His team has issued subpoenas for documents and testimony to a handful of figures...

Who is George Webb and how does he know?
Podesta ...was he the one who lied while Elias or whatever the lawyer’s name is sat there with him saying nothing when in fact he did know who paid for it? That was in yer face wrongdoing there.
“source briefed on the matter told Reuters”
From history: This is another fake, so... No indictment released on Monday.
There are many reasons for the Left to manufacture this now.
But notice that post was made Wednesday. Pretty lucky coincidence to predict the 30th.
“wondering if this isn’t a “Dieppe” before the “Normandy,” designed to out leakers in GJ with no indictments at all.”

Yes, left wants a distraction.
1. Fusion GPS bank records going to Congress next week.
2. Everyone connecting the dots back to Clinton/Podesta Brothers.
3. Justification building for Mueller to step down due to his conflicts.
4. Trump ordered State Dept to decalssify 30,000 of Hillary’s emails.
5. The Russian conspiracy theory had completely flipped back on Dems and they were getting toasted all week on Fox and anywhere else with something resembling reporting of actual news.
Three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead.

Yeah, I liked Combover for Comey and, of course, Zero and Cankles. When all is said and done, Zero and Cankles better be in jail or it will be 10 million pitchforks on The Mall. .
But remember CNN was giddy on election night too....for awhile. ;)
Lucky or the FBI Anon actually is in the know about what’s about to take place.
Major upheaval if a Trump kid or HRC/Podesta are actaully indicted.
If this is a Deep State coup, they’d likely go after one of Trump’s sons to get to him.
A lot of stuff is always “making the rounds”. Hillary being arrested on Monday does not seem even plausible.
It’s perjury, assuming he was under oath.
FBI Anon is worshipped in certain circles as an Oracle of God. We shall see.
We had a YEAR of non-stop b.s. Russian collection from the MSM. We finally discover Hillary and company were the real colluders and funded the dossier. Now, possible distraction time.
Mueller was appointed because of the fake dossier. The wiretapes were approved because of the fake dossier.
How is any of this legal at this point?
Collusion is not a crime so whatever the indictment is, it can’t be collusion.
FBI Anon made the prediction Wednesday.
We found out when that there’d be arrests Monday? We found out tonight.
Was that a lucky coincidence? Perhaps.
Wow, thanks for that great link.
Incredible!!
“so really how reliable is this Larry Schweikart person or this Name Redacted person”
haha, ‘this Larry Schweikart person’ is our FR “LS”, and he has been spot on all along the last 6 months I’ve been watching him - and keeping us from seppukoo during the dark hours, lol..
And 3.5 hours later, still nothing.
