In the age of a billionaire president with no real political experience, Mark Cuban, another billionaire with no real political experience, is being asked quite a bit about a prospective presidential bid.
And he's not ruling it out. During an interview on the Fox News show Objectified (airing Sunday), the Shark Tank personality and owner of the Dallas Mavericks said he's qualified to be commander in chief.
I think were going into a time where you need somebody who can connect to people and relate to people, and I think I qualify on each of those," Cuban told host Harvey Levin. He sidestepped the question of whether he'll actually run for president: "Whether or not Ill do itits a big decision."
The more noncommittal he got, the more he sounded like a politician:
I wouldnt run unless I have solutions. If I have solutions, then I have something to offer. If I dont, you wont see me anywhere near being a politician.
Though not a liberal, Cuban, 59, has been critical of President Donald Trump, and in 2015, he mused that he "could beat both Trump and Clinton" in the 2016 election. With his vast fortune and reality TV background, he has plenty of things in common with the 45th president, which would make for a bizarre 2020 showdown. (He has suggested he could run as an independent instead of a Democrat.)
It's not the first time he's teased a presidential bid. Earlier this month, Cuban said he was "seriously considering" a run for president, and that he would "definitely be running" if he were single.

Hahaha this is the guy who claimed the markets would crash if Trump won.
Is that the fraternity with all the scandals?
Ask the NBA owners if they think Cuban has the temperament to be president. They’ll tell you they can’t stand the jerk.
True story. In 2008, the Texas Rangers baseball team found its way into bankruptcy court thanks to their owner. So the bankruptcy judge fielded offers for a new ownership. Bud Selig and the owners were sold on Nolan Ryan and several partners receiving the ballclub.
Towards the end of the bidding process, Jim Crane stepped forward with a larger bid for the Rangers backed by Mark Cuban. The MLB owners were aghast. They did NOT want Cuban in their old boys’ club.
Selig and MLB made clear to the judge that they would not accept Crane’s bid as long as Cuban was a partner and that he’d better award the team to Ryan.
Remember, the judge’s charge is to settle the debts to the best interest of the creditors. Instead, he was persuaded to award the Rangers to Ryan despite the higher bid by Crane.
Speculation, now but I think the reason Crane didn’t sue then was because Selig said he would guarantee Crane would be the high bidder for the Astros - who were not then up for sale but rumored to be soon - if he would promise to form a group without Cuban involved.
That’s exactly what Crane did and he managed to bid $150 million more than Drayton McLane’s asking price even though nobody else was making an offer. And when Selig *then* informed him he’d have to switch leagues to be approved, he demanded some $75 million back and MLB agreed - they made McLane give him the money.
Anyway, that’s how popular Cuban is with the movers and shakers of professional sports.
I was unaware of those dynamics. Interesting...
I’m glad he was kept out of baseball.
Can’t put my finger on it other than politics, but I’ve for some reason had a negative impression of him for a long time.
Cuban’s “Apprentice” ripoff TV show, “The Benefactor,” was a total ratings bomb in the fall of 2004. It was cancelled after six episodes.
Cuban is insanely jealous of President Trump’s success.
President of Cuba, Mark Cuban.
Totally qualified except for the fact that people don’t like you, Mark.
If Obama was qualified, everyone in the Us is qualified because Obama set the bar so low.
And that terrifies me! I listened to a woman who I've always believed was not a liberal or progressive say she hoped Zuckerberg or someone from tech would run for president because "we need new ideas."

The Far-Left, Mark Cuban and A Movie That Will Put U.S. Troops in More Danger
Mark, go play with the Mavs..if you have a beef with TRUMP, talk to him, not to liberal media...
Has anyone ever made the case for Obama being qualified to be president?
Not sure...
On recent Shark Tanks Cuban looks embittered. He reminds me if sore loser Hillary. Like her, he’s full of himself.
