In a historic change, the Boy Scouts are announcing plans to admit girls into the Cub Scouts starting next year and to establish a new program for older girls using the same curriculum as the Boy Scouts.
Under the plan announced Wednesday, Cub Scout dens — the smallest unit — will be single-gender, either all-boys or all-girls. The larger Cub Scout packs will have the option to welcome both genders if they choose.

I’m an eagle scout. I pulled both my boys out of cubs after seeing how the “new” system was being run.
It’s nothing like it once was.
You like to throw insults around, but can you make a coherent comment or discussion. What is good or bad about girls joining boy scouts? No girls but homosexuals okay? And transgender? Maybe girls will get more out of boy scouts than they can out of girl scouts? Maybe these organizations are simply outdated, obsolete? How about participating in a discussion instead of trashing it?

This is insanity. I miss the U.S. I grew up in. :-(
They just cannot permit a single place where boys can be boys. Any like a convoy having to go the pace of the slowest ship, the Cub Scouts will have to adjust every single thing to the girls needs.

The are a mere shadow of their former selves, but the organization is still hanging on here and there.
At this point letting girls into the Cub Scouts is just a way to get a few more members.
The little girls will be safe until lesbians are allowed to be scout masters.
I sort of agree. I was taking my daughter to Philmont with her explorer crew about 4 years ago just after all the controversy started. We had an experience that she will remember with her dad for a lifetime. The new "rules" never really came up. We followed the guidelines of youth protection and all the adults knew each other so no problem. I think that like good families, scouts are best run locally and the locals can manage the situations and keep scouting positive.
It is both shameful and embarrassing that at a national level it has become political and that members Christian values have been challenged, but locally it can still be inspirational to youth, whether boys or girls.
My daughter was a very outdoors type, not a tom boy but no girly girl either. She could outshoot anyone in camp in rifle, shotgun, and archery, and pack a pack and do an overnight hike as good as any boy. I taught her that way and she loves it. I am glad that BSA provided at least some opportunity for her as the Girl Scout programs have been garbage for decades.

Yeah, they probably would have a fit if that happened. But, if they do start mixing in the boys, that is bound to happen. Then again, what kind of boy would want to join the GS? Probably not much positive aggressiveness in such a one.
