This is a horror story but there’s something odd in there that doesn’t make sense. Purchase, Planning, set up, execution...big disconnect someplace.

Have only talked to him briefly because his phone is running out of battery. He is shaken up pretty badly. I think he’s in shock. His girlfriends mother is in a wheelchair. Getting her out wasn’t easy but a man came and helped with her chair.

Keep in mind, there are a number of ranges around there that do machine gun rentals - they stock everything from subguns to crew served weapons for people to play with for a fee. My first thought was somebody may have snatched one of those things from an inventory and went ape with it.

I just did some checking - the shooter reportedly was on the 32nd floor. At the most, building security and possibly cops would have been 3 floors away on 35, which is the Four Seasons lobby. So, seconds away down the stairs or with an express elevator key.

I think the platinum mlife level is the highest level for the mgm resort player loyalty cards. It may also be linked to a credit card. They also get free parking in the mgm properties, which include mandalay bay.

The Asian woman could get confused as Hispanic perhaps in the dark. I think one report said a “Hispanic” woman was telling them they were going to die - then she was escorted out along with a man.
