It seems that President Trump just wants to pick fights. With NATO. The United Nations. North Korea. Mitch McConnell. John McCain.
And now Stephen Curry.
Yep, thats right. The president of the United States is doing so well on foreign relations, health care, tax reform and his border wall that he apparently has enough time on his hands to take on the stars and owners of the NBA and the NFL.
And the Constitution. Through intimidation, Trump repeatedly tries to silence his critics and their free speech rights. The commander in chief has become the bully in chief, and there seems to be no end to his divisive schoolyard behavior.
Trump simplistically portrays the players kneeling during the anthem as disrespecting the flag. He fails to acknowledge that the right to conduct these peaceful protests is protected by our Constitution, and that they represent widespread underlying discontent.
People in positions of power, be they presidents or coaches, must be able to deal with criticism, Warriors coach Steve Kerr told Sports Illustrated.
People are going to take shots at you and its incumbent upon you to absorb those shots. Maybe you respond diplomatically, but you maintain a level of respect and dignity. What you cant do is just angrily lash out.
Thats sage advice. The question is whether the president will learn the lesson. Probably not.

First, Trump is fighting back, not bullying. And because he can fight on more than one front at once, he need not neglect the cultural issues raised by the knee benders in favor of the issues raised by GOPe insiders like Karl Rove.
Yup. That’s “free speech” in the Bay Area.
They’re “free” to attack you for your “speech”.
Maybe Kerr figured if he didn’t stand with his playas, they might shiv him in a dark alley outside of the arena.
Agreed
Of course he did.
he was BULLIED wasn’t he?
Freakin cupcakes..
Au contraire, sounds a lot like the MSM and liberal jerks everywhere are trying to silence conservative Americans and deny free speech rights of conservatives. UC Berkeley and leftist won't even allow free speech to conservatives, putting violence in effect to deny conservatives a chance to speak. Howlywood movie and TV stars along with shows like The View shout down conservatives. Sounds to me like they don't like a leader-in-chief who says it like it is. Keep up the good work President Trump!
The San Jose Mercury News migth be on to something...
That list is wayyy too short!! d;^)
I hope I'm not offending anyone here, but I just don't see the thrill in shelling out for insultingly high priced tickets, snacks, or team apparel.
Actually, it escapes me why people still follow teams that are nothing more than a logo. The "teams" where established members were part of the community are long gone.
