Earlier this week CNN reported what radio talk show host (and former Justice Department official) Mark Levin revealed in March, that secret FISA court orders had been implemented during the Obama Administration to wire tap Paul Manafort. Mediaite then pointed out that the former Director of National Intelligence under President Obama, James Clapper, had unequivocally denied the existence of any such FISA wiretap during an interview on Meet the Press:
James Clapper was the Director of National Intelligence overseeing the surveillance and intelligence gathering of seventeen different government agencies. He has correctly asserted that if there was a FISA order to wiretap an American citizen he would know about it. CNN has now confirmed that the FBI had just such an order to monitor Paul Manafort. This leaves us with only a handful of conclusions.
CNN’s reporting is completely wrong resulting it possibly one of the most high-profile journalistic blunders of our time

The FBI under James Comey’s direction and under President Obama’s control conducted covert, renegade surveillance of American citizens without the appropriate oversight or constitutional checks and balances at such a high level that even the Director of National Intelligence was kept in the dark.
Either way, we either have a very sick man in James Clapper, or we have a scandal brewing that could shatter the media’s love affair with the Obama presidency. If they’d only have half an interest in pursuing it.

I was watching Lou Dobbs last night and he had Ed Rollins on. Ed said that he had know Manafort for 20 years and that he was not a good person.
I guess Ed’s feelings are the same as yours.
It appears that much of the DC power structure is crooked.

Fox Showed footage of Brennan claiming he didn’t recollect anyone from State requesting unmasking too - it was obvious he was hedging and trying to lie w/o actually perjuring himself - they all knew and approved -— and lied.

Crapper has been known to lie under oath. Why would anybody believe anything this known liars says?

Besides, ignorance is no defense when it comes to the law. He knew, and was complicit in it all.
I agree. Paul Manafort is not a good guy and his problems are his own. What bothers me is that this investigation is now going back ten years into Manafort’s activities. As far as I know Donald Trump wasn’t running for President ten years ago. This ‘investigation’ has gone so far off the rails that it’s impossible to see from here where it’s headed. But one thing I’m pretty sure of. Someone close to the President is going to be indicted.

Everyone knew about Clapper lying??? What about Jeffy Sessions? He knew. He is the AG and sworn to uphold the law. Hasn’t moved an inch toward charging Clapper. Or maybe he didn;t know what everyone else with an IQ over 70 does/did!

Sessions moronically recused himself from the Russia investigation which the Manafort FISA wiretapping clearly is part of. Trump was correct in being really angry about this. The ripple effects of his recusal are vast. And of course Rosenstein, who wrote the memo that got Comey fired, which firing is also under investigation by Mueller, has refused to recuse himself from being Mueller’s boss, even though he is a witness to what Mueller is investigating.
If you're asking about the ten years back in Manafort's history, the answer is nothing in print just what I've heard reported on FOX and FBN.
