Sean Hannity is moving to 9 PM ET to take on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow directly starting next week in anticipation of Fox News Channel debuting Laura Ingraham’s new show on the day before Halloween. Or, to put it another way, the cable news wars just went into full battle mode.
We are delighted to unveil this new primetime schedule for both our current and future generation of loyal FNC fans,” Suzanne Scott, president of programming for the cable newser told Deadline today. “Over the last decade, Laura’s extraordinary insight, expertise and strong voice have connected with our viewers across the network’s programming. We look forward to her providing the audience with her exceptional commentary, engaging insight and spirited debate.”
While Tucker Carlson’s 8 PM show will stay where it is, Hannity will make its move to an hour ahead on September 25. On the same day, The Five will move back to its namesake 5 PM ET slot. Before the radio host and long time Fox News contributor and sometimes stand-in host kicks off The Ingraham Angle on October 30, the 10 PM slot will be filled by various FNC hosts and contributors..

Correction....Hannity will take out Madcow.
Personally, I hope Sean will take out his opening 10 minute monologue...it’s getting kind of stale and repetitive each night.

Fox News has gone to Red Alert. Hannity is its primary weapon against Mad Cow Disease.
Laura is wayyyyy better than Me Again. Remember she was a guest sub on BOR’s old show. She will have more of her own style now with her show.
She’s completely and totally on our side. I’ll support her any day of the week.
I will ALWAYS support an Ally against the Leftardniks.

I doubt he’ll steal any of her audience, apart from the occasional Freeper that likes to report her shenanigans here.
Just remember, FNC is a business and these shows are platforms to sell ads with. Fox is not your ideological guru or even in agreement with the views of the hosts. If liberal yak made more money they’d be trying to hire Maddow away from MSNBC.

Hannity annoys me, too. We have a great station AM 1310 which is our local Conservative Talk Radio.

Any word on what she’ll do with her morning talk show? I don’t know how she could do a 10p show, a morning show, and still raise those kids (by herself, SFAIK). Ya gotta sleep some time!
