The U.S. State Department has backed away from a demand that Israel return $75 million in military aid which was allocated to it by the U.S. Congress.
The repayment demand, championed by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, was described as an underhanded attempt by the State Department to derail a campaign pledge by U.S. President Donald J. Trump to improve relations with the Jewish state.
The dispute is the just the latest example of what appears to be a growing power struggle between the State Department and the White House over the future direction of American foreign policy.
The controversy goes back to the Obama administration's September 2016 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Israel, which pledged $38 billion in military assistance to Jerusalem over the next decade. The MOU expressly prohibits Israel from requesting additional financial aid from Congress.
Congressional leaders, who said the MOU violates the constitutional right of lawmakers to allocate U.S. aid, awarded Israel an additional $75 million in assistance in the final appropriations bill for fiscal year 2017.
Tillerson had argued that Israel should return the $75 million in order to stay within the limits established by the Obama administration. The effort provoked a strong reaction from Congress, which apparently prompted Tillerson to back down. (Excerpt.....continued)
North Korea policy will be the next, mark my word, as the Establishment's appeasement approach which is well entrenched in The Swamp, will make its ugly return in the equitable prosecution of North Korean issues..
So fire Tillerson. Fire Sessions too.
I don’t think I’d mind if Tillerson stayed. But I want everyone else at State to be fired.
I dont think Id mind if Tillerson stayed. But I want everyone else at State to be fired.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I’m with you
The defense lobby is another of the very powerful lobby groups that gives big bucks to members of congress and they want Israel to have this extra $75 million to spend.
Congress is very corrupt and will remain that way, because the GOP members play their constituents off against the dems and the dems play their constituents off against the republicans.
I dont think Id mind if Tillerson stayed. But I want everyone else at State to be fired.
...
Let’s see how Rex behaves on his Sunday interview today.
mark
Hunt the traitors down in the State Department; indict, try, and convict them for giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and then sentence them to be publicly hanged.
This treason by Demonicrats is not going to stop until convicted Demonicrats are rotting off the noose.
Tilerson and Sessions need to GO! NOW!!!
Rather than having to face the “firestorm” of firing all these striped-pants bums, sign an executive order than has them (a) sitting in their offices sans ANY communication devices of any sort, (b)recall all state dept employees back to the USA and (c) drop all “consultants”.
Did Obama steal the pen and phone on the way out? Can’t we get replacements?
You can not fight the federal agencies. Forget about it.
Of course not
And Mattis, McMaster, Kelly, to get a head start on draining the swamp. Replace them with your loyalists Mr President. None of your campaign promises are going anywhere with these swamp dwellers in place.
I don't think it would be bad at all to rescind unionization of federal employees.
There is nothing like having a disciplinary problem with an employee that cannot be addressed without seeking legal counsel first. Even if the boss does not want to punish the employee, but only to make clear that there are certain legal boundaries that govern both boss and employee. The unions complicate everything needlessly, and some employees are very prone to run off to complain to the union at the slightest problem.
Yes, there are more than those two to fire. Go out into the country of the USA and find people who will support and understand the necessity of MingAGA.
I don’t see this being a peaceful process as the left will be contentious and lying as usual and self serving of the globalist agenda as usual. I do see the potential for a civil war in areas where immigration has not been controlled and where there are no restraints on border crossing.
I will be ready.
Since it is an EO, recind it.
What a perfectly grand idea. It would help in all areas...maybe I could call some WashDC offices and get someone who doesn’t speak ebonics. My, what a thrill that would be.
Fire everyone hired in the last 8 years or so. Even the janitors. That goes for every department. Scorched Earth policy. These scumbags are so embedded in our government that harsh measures must be taken.
But if we fired all the State Dept employees....there goes 80% of the traitorous spies in our government.
