Superman Protects Undocumented Workers From Armed White Supremacist in Latest Comic
Hollywood Reporter ^ | September 13, 2017 | by Ryan Parker

The moment in the book released Wednesday comes a week after President Trump ended DACA. Perhaps it is just a coincidence, but perhaps not.

In the recent issue of Action Comics #987, "The Oz Effect," released Wednesday, Superman arrives in the nick of time to protect a group of undocumented immigrants from a white man sporting an American flag bandanna, wielding a machine gun, who is going to shoot them for taking his job.

Superman blocks the bullets before they hit the terrified people.

"Stop this!" Superman orders the gunman.

"Why?!" he responds. "They ruined me! Stole from me!"

Grabbing the gunman by the collar and pulling him in close, Superman says, "The only person responsible for the blackness smothering your soul — is you!"

Police arrive, and Superman hands over the gunman and tells officers to make sure the victims are "safe and cared for." An officer responds, "Anything you say, Superman!"

I googled demagoguery and this is what google gave me:

Demagoguery is an appeal to people that plays on their emotions and prejudices rather than on their rational side. ... For example, a politician who stirs up a fear of immigrants to distract from other issues is using demagoguery.

Reminds me of that SNL skit where they postulate what would have happened if Superman had landed in Nazi Germany instead of the USA.

The American Way is to respect our laws.

Some time ago, the writers of the Superman comics had Superman go to the UN to renounce his American citizen ship and his motto, "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" as not being enough now. I kid you not. The leftists who are now in charge of writing and drawing Superman have jumped the shark.

The statement is true. But he should be telling it to BLM and antifa.....

“What does Superman have to do every January?”

“Register his address at his post office because he is a resident alien!”

***Does anyone else (age 60+) remember the public-service item? ***

I remember those adds and the little stilted cartoon that went with them.
All legal resident aliens were required to fill out a form at the post office every year in January.

Context is everything.

This issue is the beginning of a storyline that's been building for 2 years. The people committing atrocities are being manipulated by an alien influence. It causes them to succumb to their most base instincts.

The alien is trying to convince Superman that humans aren't worthy of his presence; that their cruelty and greed make it impossible for them to evolve into a superior civilization.

Superman has to stop man-made catastrophes all around the world. And sometimes, he fails.

“I thought Superman was supposed to stand up for “truth, justice and the American way”.”

Superman renounced his American citizenship years ago. Now he fights for Multiculturalism, diversity and the UN way.

If bullets bounce off Superman’s chest, wouldn’t the hurled empty gun bounce off, too?

So why would Superman dodge a thrown object?

More believable is when the Man of Steel grabs the crook’s gun and crushes it in his fist.

Standard joke since these aired in the 50s. That’s why I posted it.

Obviously the actor ducked cause the blanks don’t hurt but a thrown gun does.

I liked Sgt. Rock.

He wouldn’t let Superman prevent him from mowing down the Germans.

Comic books were only “patriotic” when the supposed right-wing NAZIs were the official enemy. They were never truly conservative or patriotic.

Now that the real enemies within are Marxists and Mohammedans, genuine patriotism is portrayed as evil.

The comic industry overwhelmingly was begun, and remained controlled for decades, by New York leftist Jews (many of whom changed their names). That is why, for a very long time, all superheroes in Marvel lived in New York.

It is inarguable that the majority of New York Jews are politically far left, and often secular and communist - rather than Jewish in any authentic sense - in worldview. (Note well that the “Justice League of America” is now just the “Justice League,” and Superman is now about “truth, justice, and all that other stuff.”)

This is their foul harvest. Comics have always had a strongly propagandistic component; it is now explicitly anti-American, anti-Christian, and anti-Western.
