My dad was stationed at Minot AFB 1967 - 1971.
The fondest memories of my childhood are there.
LOL! I know it’s coooooold there. I have a FRiend in Minnesota who has described some of those winters. Brrr!
Hey, hey...hahaha...
Some of us DO live near there...I know, I know, cold, wind, mosquitos, heat, humidity, mosquitos---did I say mosquitos?...
But one thing that holds true is that the locals, the ones with a brain and a heart, anyway, value and praise and treasure their nearby airmen.
God bless Diana and family for waving the flag! Travel safely, many thanks!
Never stationed there, but had plenty of friends who were.

Just announced today: SecDef Mattis will visit Minot next week, as part of a tour of US nuclear facilities and units. He’ll meet with B-52 crews and spend some time at a Minuteman III launch control facility.
Wonder who he’s sending a message to?

Freezin's the reason.
Best hunting and fishing plus my first daughter was born at the base hospital. Had it not been for my reassignment to Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Minot would have been my favorite place. But it didn’t take much to beat out Whiteman AFB, Mo.
Minot is why I joined the Navy, cant get stationed in North Dakota when you join the Navy! (I am from ND)
Freezing’s the reason.
