Appeals court rules against Trump administration on travel ban

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday rejected the Trump administration's limited view of who is allowed into the country under its revised travel ban.

A three-judge panel decided that grandparents, cousins and similarly close extended family relationships of people in the U.S. shouldn't be prevented from coming to the country. The court also said refugees already accepted by a resettlement agency shouldn't be banned. The appeals court decision upholds a decision from a district court judge in Hawaii, who said the administration's view was too narrow. The decision impacts the revised travel ban, which temporarily suspends new visas and travel for people coming from the Muslim-dominated countries of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

I agree. The Right's fatal mistake, IMHO, is that it doesn't understand the nature of the fight that's going on. This is NOT a war of ideas where each side lines up with their guns and fires volleys. The Left has all the big guns (the media), and it also has character assassins and organized guerilla groups, and it's very effective at using them.

The method of battle is not going to matter if you lose. This is a point in time where I think the prominent Leftists probably think they're untouchable. And you KNOW that they have all have skeletons in their closet, because they're so used to being completely protected by the media.

The Right needs its own extensive network of black hat groups that find the dirt and disgrace these people. I have no doubt that the grotesque stuff that would be found would be enough to punch holes through the media barrier. The Right needs to get its hands dirty, because there's just too much at stake to let these people like the Ninth Circuit run amok. This is war. The winners will write the history.
