Joseph McInnis III, 21, and 22-year-old Tyree McCoy robbed a Maryland bar filled with dozens of off-duty officers there for a cop retirement party, WBAL-TV reported.

Robber #1 (inching up to the bar): “Out of my way mister, We’ve got business to do here.
Off Duty Cop #1 of many (resisting the order): “I don’t think so, buddy.
Robber #1 (pulling out his weapon): See this mister? You know what this is?
Off Duty Cop #1: “I sure do. I have one that’s a bit bigger and a lot more powerful than the one have. You should be able to feel it now - it’s pressed tightly right up under your chin.

This was at Monahan’s Tavern in Woodlawn , Baltimore County . I graduted at Woodlawn Sr. High in 1965 and on any Saturday night there will be members of my graduating in there which includes many retired and current officers of the law . Looks like a good time was had by almost all .

My memory tells me just such a scene was part of a long ago TV show "Police Story". Two guys bust into a bar intending to rob it. Only problem is it's a cop hangout. Immediately they are confronted with enough fire power to again invade Normandy.
In any case that is what I recall. Perhaps another Freeper can confirm or correct. Is Joseph Wambaugh on here? He would know.
