Well heck yeah. I mentioned this yesterday. Talk about total friggin' idiocy.

Somewhere in my stack of stuff, I have a picture of the 3 replicas off of Kennedy Space Center and the shuttle complex with shuttle Endeavour on pad 39-B.

Of course, many bad things happened during colonization, but it doesn’t negate the fact that Columbus came here and if ships, the method of transportation in which he arrived here triggers you—you’re just a weak, soft and fragile human being

Columbus and his voyages are the triggering events of the American colonial period with out a doubt.

But the old world would have discovered the New World eventually. The only questions are; by who and when.

In my opinion for the native Americans things could turned out much worse.

Had the colonization of the Americas been accomplished by the Islamic countries of Turkey and the North African nations I think the outcome could have been much worse.

Let’s be real. The Americas being conquered by the Christian countries of Europe is probably one of the least catastrophic outcomes. No matter which culture conquered the Americas the native people were going to be displaced and assimilated in to a more advanced culture.

It is an inescapable lesson of history that a primitive culture when exposed to a more advanced and more aggressive culture will be subsumed in to that culture

All in all things could have been worse.

They wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for those ships so they can STFU.

...etc...Those are Black Ships of Death.
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

To remain strictly PC, shouldn’t that read

African American Ships of Death?

We have to turn their own words and stupidity back on them.

Like Lewis spouting off about the sharks still habitating the waters of the Slave Ship routes, looking for the 1000 potential slaves that were thrown overboard every day.

R Limbaugh ran some #s to show the sheer stupidity of the statement so Lewis ‘amended’ it by saying 500 a day, and R’s math still disproved that ‘fact’.

No one even had to mention that those people the African Blacks sold to the Dutch Slave Ship Captains, were still owned by the Captains, so it isn’t likely anyone would have been throwing that much CASH into the ocean.

Logic - the killer of Liberal speak.

"Progressive Left". There's nothing "progressive" about Communism.

When will folks on the right, or even center, start to bring up the sort of things these far left protesters stand for, and the sort of historic figures THEY admire and regard as 'heroes', still to this day. Monsters like Mao tse Tung who murdered over 20 million of his own people. Some of them view Stalin, the North Korea's Kim Jung-Il family dynasty, 'Che' Guevara, and "Killing Fields" Pol Pot as great men. And of Fidel Castro.

What are they saying? The ships were built with slave labor and crewed by chained slaves?????

Reminds me of an old cartoon with Flip Wilson's voice and a Black Queen Isabella - At one point "Chris", trying to sway her to fund him, told her he would discover all sorts of good things, like maybe Ray Charles, etc. She then went wild saying, "Chris gonna discover Ray Charles! Chris gonna discover Ray Charles!".

It was hilarious....

St. Marys City Maryland is a miniature Williamsburg with costumed docents at the re-created 'first landing' settlement.

I was there a few weeks ago and some of the 'natives' were burning out a dugout to use as a boat. They had to scrape the insides with clam shells and stone tools. Then they showed us how quicker it was to use steel forged tools (axes), like the Europeans had.

One could easily imagine how envious the natives were for European technology, and willing to trade anything (furs, etc) to make their lives better.
