Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has weighed in on the weekend's violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, castigating Donald Trump without naming him.
'We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis,' McConnell said in a statement.
The choice of words, while careful, appeared to push back against Trump's claim on Tuesday that some 'very fine people' were among a crowd of white supremacists who rallied in the college town.
McConnell's wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, stood next to Trump on Tuesday as he insisted both sides of the weekend's clash bore some responsibility for the violence that led to one death and nearly two dozen injuries.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich tore into Trump earlier in the morning.
'Pathetic, isn't it just pathetic?' Kasich said kicking off a 'Today' show appearance Wednesday morning.

“...but was an idiot to try to argue that Nazis and Supremists were fine people”
You must be another one of those people who can not hear because you have your head up your ass. He divided out the “fine people” who were protesting statue removal from the Nazis and Supremacists.
There are many people of note on TV who protest statue removal and they certainly are not Nazis and Supremacists.
This event is being used as an excuse to rid the nation of its culture like the Confederate flag was when it was seen in a picture of the mass murderer.
THe problem is, they weren’t actually there for that. There was a pretext for that, and some people may have shown up for that, but it was mostly a klan-type rally with all the hateful rhetoric you’d expect from them.
THe car thing, that wasn’t anything to do with the rally, that was ONE participant who decided to do something, for whatever reason he did it. Nobody at the rally said “go out and run over protestors”
But the rally itself on Friday night was something we should all condemn. And if we WANT to make our hill to defend blocks of stones of people who fought on the losing side of a war 150 years ago, we should do so in groups that don’t include white supremists is nazis and klansmen.
You miss the point.
The attack on Saturday was not a spontaneous outburst from the enraged citizens of Charlottesville because of what had been said that day.
The attack was planned.
The easiest thing in the world for the Democrats to do on that day was say,
“We won! No rally!”
But they didn’t.
They came in swinging.
This provides them with the precedent to attack people for what they might say.
McConnell proves once again why he must go. His insinuation & backstabbing, his failure to deliver ACA repeal, is unacceptable.
“So in other words, the Daily Mail completely fabricated a story and posted it under a headline that doesn’t even match the facts it presented in the story. “
Exactly, but clever. Mitch is trying to get away with having it both ways. So this story puts him in a pickle. He can let it stand and be lobbed in with McTaritor and Kasich
or he can clarify and get skewered by the MSM along with Trump. Anyone want to bet which way he goes?

Antifa fascists now calling for MURDER of white children

When they attack Trump on this issue, they are attacking me and my family, and frankly the right of all Americans to assemble and speak without fear of being either physically attacked by fascist and communist thugs or being labeled a racist by the likes of them.
They are the bigots and racists. They are the fascists and Nazis.
Al Gore’s Daddy was a Segregationist. Just sayin’.
They should take Byrd’s name off every Street, Building, Park any other structure it is currently on.
Too bad President Trump didn’t mention Byrd in his Press Conference. It would have been another Hiroshima.
The left does scheme and plan, although often stupidly.
My own attitude is: “Most things that can be attributed to conspiracy are actually the effect of accident and error. But, when there is a real, successful conspiracy, it’s often much worse than you could possibly imagine.”
I would like to force John Kasich to drink a bucket full of brown water from the Maumee river.
I’m sorry but if you are a torchlight ceremony organized by Richard Spencer where people are chanting “Jews will not replace us,” you are at the very least a Nazi sympathizer.
If that makes me a lefty snowflake so be it, but I have black children. I don’t really give a lot of leeway here.
That worst thing Trump said in that presser was that there were good people at the Friday night ceremony.
There were no good people there. None.
Look, you exempt the car thing from the crowd, and Trump exempts others who were there protesting the removal of a statue. One is OK, and the other isn’t. Right. I see you have the same disease. It’s all or nothing. Secular fundamentalism run amok.
Well, you must have been there, so there was at least one good person there.
I’m assuming you’re a good person from all your virtue signaling.
I don't know a single person who was at the Friday night event. So unlike you, I will never sit my ass in front of a computer and judge anyone who was there. I have no idea what motivated anyone to show up there, and I suspect you don't either.
If that makes me a lefty snowflake so be it, but I have black children.
I don't see what one has to do with the other. Why don't you look at this as a great opportunity to teach something to your children (regardless of what race they are) about principles.
This was kind of my point about Trump’s press conference
KKK, Neo-Nazis have been painted with the evil brush and are a 3rd rail of politics. The Antifa does not have this label yet, and should, and Trump tried to at least get them into the conversation as part of the problem. So I think he won the war of words, but lost the Battle of Charolettesville.
Advantage Antifa
Ditch Mitch now!
You mean in Congress?
