‘Racism is Evil’ — Donald Trump Condemns KKK, Neo-Nazis, and White Supremacists

President Donald Trump denounced hate groups at the White House on Monday, responding to critics of his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virgina surrounding an alt-right rally.

“Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” Trump said.

The president made his remarks in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House after meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the FBI Director Chris Wray.

Trump specifically named Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old woman killed during the protests after a reported Nazi sympathizer drove his car into a crowd of counter protesters.

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence,” he said.

Maybe talking about it beforehand taints any investigation. The other leftist groups, the instigators, will be named later.

As stated on another thread on FR, which bears repeating even if Pres. Trump grabbed an AK47, jumped in front of that Challenger and blasted away, the usual suspects would still call him a racist. Trump has been in the spotlight for over 40 yrs. For him to get as big as he is he had to interact with all kinds of people of all conceivable races ethnicities, etc. If he were this racist/sexist/homophobic/whatever monster they say he is it would’ve come out long ago.

I am on board with President Trump and stand firmly on the Trump train. Advisors and vice-Presidents statements are of no concern to me that raises to the level of causing a kerfuffle. I leave that to the assortment of Never Trumpers and ex-Cruz supporters who are still bitter and will never accept all the good he has done so far.
