President Donald Trump denounced hate groups at the White House on Monday, responding to critics of his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virgina surrounding an alt-right rally.
“Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” Trump said.
The president made his remarks in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House after meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the FBI Director Chris Wray.
Trump specifically named Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old woman killed during the protests after a reported Nazi sympathizer drove his car into a crowd of counter protesters.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence,” he said.

Were white supremacists responsible for the violence? I can’t come to an understand of this incident because I don’t know whom to trust. I’m not understanding how many genuine white supremacists were there. Do you have to be a white supremacist to want the statue of the confederate general to stay?
Nobody except us internet news junkies even know what the hell "antifa" is.
When he said justice will be done, he also inferred that their pet anarchists/terrorists were also not immune.
I thought it was a superb statement.

Damned right it’s evil. And so is communism, socialism, fascism, atheism, homosexualism, abortionism, globalism, etc.
The Founders had it pretty close with the Declaration of Independence and its Judeo-Christian principles of God-given liberty and equal rights under the law for all, including the unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; and with government deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
Our political parties and our people are making grave errors when they push government to depart from these fundamental principles.
There is no place for government to be favoring one race over another. A just government must be color blind. Paraphrasing MLK, a man should be judged on the basis of his character, not on the color of his skin.
Any law or system of laws that favors one set of people or interests over others based on color, race or religion is unjust, unconstitutional, un-American, unholy, ungodly and just plain old evil. And that includes any law or system of laws that deprives citizens of their God-given liberty and freedoms as set forth by our Founders in the Declaration and Constitution.
Nazism and communism are not opposite ends of the political spectrum, at least not any political spectrum we should wish to be part of. They are just two kinds of mass-murdering, evil totalitarian dictatorships that deprive men of God, liberty, possessions and life.
And socialism is simply a step toward communism.
Communism, fascism, socialism, racism, globalism, atheism, homosexualism, abortionism, etc, even Islamicfascism are antithetical to our founding Judeo-Christian principles and are therefore un-American and unconstitutional.
I’m sure somebody will before it’s done.

If the truth is incendiary then so be it. This has to come to a head at some point and Trump just pu$$ied out. I am a strong Trump supporter, but this capitualation will bring the Trump train to a standstill. The Deep State has succeeded.

I know I lot of folks have lost faith in AG, Jeff Sessions, but I have not. Sessions and our new FBI Director Wray will uncover the truth and facts. And...I can assure you, Democrat, Governor of Virginia, Terry McAullife and his Mayor of Charlottesville will not be looking good. Shame on the voters of Virginia that voted these low life, scum and vermin human beings into office!!!
Another "story" on the radio...again spun to make Trump look like a racist. They coupled Charleston with racist Trump and sanctuary cities.
Trump is making a big mistake with Luther Strange. He’s never met him but supports him because McConnell wants him to. Strange is a crook. Both Moore or Brooks are a 1000 times better. They are both real conservatives. You’re right about Bannon. He’ll be fired soon an with that Trump will never be reelected, .

Maybe Trump’s internal polling sees Strange can’t win...perhaps then, Trump gets the best of both worlds?
Let’s at least hope now that BLM and Antifa will be under further scrutiny.
Heck, most people probably had never heard of “Antifa” before this.
