University of Virginia police dispersed a gathering of far-right protesters on the Charlottesville, Va. campus Friday night ahead of a planned demonstration by white nationalists, white supremacists and alt-right groups on Saturday.
Police arriving on the scene declared the protest on Friday an "unlawful assembly" and told demonstrators to disperse, video footage of the gathering shows.

Here's genius for you: You are a minority pressure group. In the final analysis, you are protected only by the rule of law. You are so vicious and unruly that the law disappears when you engage in an unlawful assembly thus removing your own protection. You then set out to antagonize a group of hard core psychopaths. Those of us here opposing any white supremacists in attendance at this rally do so because they hurt the cause, not because we support erasing our history. I am against removing these statues, and I was even against changing state flags. But the reality is, this has been a long time coming, and people claim to be so concerned now, have generally done precious little in their own sphere of influence (family) to fight a culture war that has been going on for DECADES.
How does that translate to posting this story here? Is it a bad thing to discuss here?
