Those of us here opposing any white supremacists in attendance at this rally do so because they hurt the cause, not because we support erasing our history. I am against removing these statues, and I was even against changing state flags. But the reality is, this has been a long time coming, and people claim to be so concerned now, have generally done precious little in their own sphere of influence (family) to fight a culture war that has been going on for DECADES.
